The first thing I did was take a few of the new cars around SPA. Only when I was finishing up I decided to take a kart around the new track. It is awesome! I love it. I never thought I'd be saying it, but I am more excited by the kart space than spa.

Me too. Kart Space is very good idea. When Kaz find solution of the problem with multi acc, I will be really happy and exciting to the next DLC...

I did the exact opposite and sure as hell I didn't regret it. Spa is the greatest track and it's modeling is state of the art, but Kart Space is just way too much fun. I love karting in real life and now GT finally made it justice!

Yo guys, is it just me or is the "PDI Racing Kart 100" Faster than all the other karts on Kart Space? I just dominated a bunch of 125s, Jrs, 100s, etc etc with a Kart that wasn't even on the DLC?

And everyone with the old kart ended up near the top of the leader board usually

I don't know, I set the fastest time in the lobby I was in and there was one new kart. My time was 26.659.

Don't know. In my lobby the 125 karts usually won. Maybe because the ones in the PDI didn't have the DLC so didn't know the track and kept crashing:P

When I was on spa last night using karts, the 125 was easily faster than the non dlc 100.

Track sounds good, can't wait to get it tonight.

most creative track on gt5, reminds me of the i concept race on gt4 prologue. incidentally, i'll be running an event on it soon

I think the standard kart is faster with modified ratios and some ballast. But if you tuned the 125 I bet it would be better.

125 is much faster once you change the gear ratio to suit the track.
I was nearly able to lap some 100cc karts in a 5 lap race a few minutes ago.

It sucks you can't use other cars on it though!!! Would be brilliant for drifting.

Ah okay true, that may have been what had happened in my room. I had adjusted my PDI100s ratio for Kart Space and maybe the people in 125s hadn't done that.

But the PDI100s also seemed to handle better than the 125s? I noticed that 125s could never take the first bend of Kart Space II as quick as the PDI 100s????

Im not really a fan of karting in GT5. Space tracks look absolutly great but i dont like driving the karts.

Spa on the other hand is A grade!! For visual and racing. Probably the best out of all the other F1 games ive raced it on.

Yes karting in kart space is real fun. First run in practice, I end up last when I drive like a normal car. Second run, 4th then finally first. Close race and plenty of to and fro overtaking. Reminds me of the real life karting minus the sand in the mouth/eyes and arm strain. Hoping g27 could give more ffb to get it even more authentic feel.

Tried it tonight, by far the best Kart track in the game and the first one that actually feels like a Kart track, the physics also seem to be improved on these new Karts, though its still a long way from feeling like the real thing.

Awesome fun though, I love this new kart track and hope there is more like it to come.

Tried it tonight for the first time and it was about what I expected. Tight and twisty, lots of fun hotlapping and qualifying, not so fun to race on in open lobbies. Hard to pass without someone making a mistake because it's so short, walls everywhere make it easy to get knocked into them by someone overambitiously divebombing trying to pass.

Being Canadian I don't have the 2 new karts yet. I was turning low to mid 34's in the PDI on the longer version of the track with a best of 33.9xx. With the DFGT the karts handle fairly close to real karts. You can even throw it into a bit of a power slide in the first corner using the brakes if you like.

It's great to see tracks like Kart Space make it into GT5. That along with Cape-Ring give GT5 a really good variety of tracks. You've got your F1 Tracks, Touring Tracks and Sunday Cup type tracks but now Cape-Ring and Kart-Space give you the "Special Event" sort of tracks.

Edit: Forgot to mention the Country Road and Rally Tracks.

Yes! 👍

All that's missing is some test track type tracks, like a velodrome or wtv and maybe the complex ring from GT3, and some drag strips and we'll be set!

More fun type Kart tracks!

Does anyone have a good tune for the 125 kart's gearbox? I have no clue about tuning it. All i did so far was lower the top speed to 120 km/h and it did go faster after that.

Set the top speed so it's topping out near the end of the straight where the start/finish line is, the fastest part of the track.

Kart Space is stunning. The add on hairpin is the best version. Turn 1 and that long left handers are tricky as well. Reverse sucks though.

Finally someone else who saw this as well! I love Kart Space, but I cannot seem to get a good lap on Kart Space reverse no matter WHAT I do lol.:grumpy:

In the reverse KS1 its pretty hard to get a good line into hairpin because after coming from the U you get three left turns that are quite hard to handle well.

Until now, my preferred line has been a wide first turn and then a more aggressive second to third curve, which leaves wide and away from entering the usurping well, but keeps good pace and leaves enough time to open wide and clip the hairpins apex. Im really not sure it's the best approach and I'm only using the PDIs, so, if anyone has any suggestion as to how to improve that, I'd be most thankful.

I just raced KS1 for the first time last night and what a blast! There was only 3 of us on the track but we had some fantastic racing going on. I can't wait to get 10 to 12 people racing here. I was managing mid to low 36 second laps after a dozen or so practice laps to learn the track.

The only Kart racing that I had done was during the Special Events but once I completed them I never when back. For me, Kart racing was a little aggravating with the controller but now that I have the wheel it is a ton of fun!

I'm glad PD has restricted Kart Space to just Karts. We don't need more <fill in the blank> bringing out the X1's.

Yes, Kart Space is epic. :dopey:👍

Great design & the reflections from the flooring is awesome. To me the Kart Space looks better as Spa, but maybe only because they can mask the 720p pixelation with dark tracks better? 💡

Steering sensitivity to -2 did it for me in the Special Events with DS3. :)👍

I had completed the Karting Special Events back in December of last year, way before we could adjust the steering sensitivity. I hadn't tried driving them again until last night.

I have no desire in racing anything other that Karts on the 'Kart Space' tracks.
