love the kart track and even made a vid, uploaded to youtube etc.. whos going to be the first to post a time trial time up in the 125 karts around kart space???

I'm racing the Jr kart at the moment, because it almost replicates the indoor karts i race at my local kart arena.
 
I haven't gotten the DLC yet (USA), so please answer me this.

Can it be played in reverse? It'd be great to have 2 more variations!
 
It would be nice to see cars being allowed onto this track. We have the Race of Champions, DTM at Munich Olympic Stadium, WRC Super Special Stages etc. that all operate in confined spaces, so I don't see why this couldn't be the same thing.

I think we're all puzzled by this. The only thing that seems logical is that the track is indoors, the first GT track to be indoors. That shouldn't matter at all. So we're here just scratching our heads.

I was looking forward to drifting on here. All the lights for the smoke effects and the corners are just amazing for drifting. Makes me want to petition. :)

The first thing I did was take a few of the new cars around SPA. Only when I was finishing up I decided to take a kart around the new track. It is awesome! I love it. I never thought I'd be saying it, but I am more excited by the kart space than spa.
 
The kart track is great. Been doing kart races online all day:P Only did one online race on Spa so far and that track is just amazing.

They sure finally made some good use of karting, hope they add more kart tracks in the future.
 
I really wish there was either a long version of the Kart Space because it's quite short or a way for us to use that theme in the course creator to give us a bit more variety because I think the theme of the track itself is pretty damn cool looking :)
 
I agree, the kart space has surprised me how fun it is and it looks so unique I love it. Only 1 thing would be, wish we could race other cars on it, imagine the F1 cars blasting around there :) That would be so fun!

Yeah I agree! 👍 I just wonder if it would be hard to use as a "theme" though since there are alot of like, decorations and set pieces and things that would have to move around you know what I mean? It's not like the other themes that are just open fields and stuff haha.

That would be unbelievable, especially the lights and stuff for making videos, I'm already imagining that long karrusel type bend, someone drifting that! :drool:

Agreed! All of those additions would be awesome! Hopefully this first "indoor" track kartspace introduces more stuff like you suggested! 👍👍👍

I'm sorry? The karts are amazing, they just require control like all great vehicles. Only a bad driver blames the car.
 
I dunno what would be the purpose of a longer Kart Space... What makes it fun is the short lap times. Everyone is in the same pack and the track is crowded.

If the track was longer, the karts would be spaced out and it wouldn't be as much fun...

About track editing, it'd be awesome, but above all. We gotta hope PD keeps releasing new karting tracks as DLC. Maybe a Karting DLC in the future. Imagine how cool thatd be!!
 
It's very pretty, probably be fun to hot lap on, a kart enduro might be fun, but if it this track was on the schedule when I was kart racing my response would have been, "are you joking". For racing it's too short, no where to pass with the new weak draft and guardrails and real kart racing do not mix. It's a novelty track, the kind of track you thrash around with your mates on, at 25 mph in a rental kart slug. It's not a racing track.

Well, I agree to a certain extent.

To play online and have fun, it's a sick track.

I think there are passing spots, the first turn, the hairpin and the right turn after the U are great to overtake.

I do agree that the railing and the walls are not great for real racing, but I think PDs idea for karting is online fun with friends in tight tracks (hence Tokyo Bay).

Yo guys, is it just me or is the "PDI Racing Kart 100" Faster than all the other karts on Kart Space? I just dominated a bunch of 125s, Jrs, 100s, etc etc with a Kart that wasn't even on the DLC?

And everyone with the old kart ended up near the top of the leader board usually

The PDI Racing Kart 100 has more power than all the new karts and weighs only as much as the new 100 so it probably is faster than all the new ones.
 
I hope they let us use it with other cars... they never restricted the kart tracks in the course maker like that.

Can you use other cars in single player?
 
I love the track, it's stunning, and Karts are epic fun :D (I already experienced it on RL and of course it's not the same, but still fantastic on game).
Which I could use this track with cars so I could take photos, but racing with cars is a bit stupid here since the track is small.
