Are the able to be downloaded from a pc and installed on the ps3. My download was showing 549 minutes left and I have a couple to do, just wondering if there was a simpler way.

you have to download gt5 updates through the PS3 only i'm afraid

Reboot you router.
Shut down all Computers, Phones, TV's etc that uses the wifi.

Now try again.

Sign in to a hotel.

That's what I'm planning to do. Especially with the incredibly low data cap my 3G supplier is imposing.

With a bit of luck and money, the Spec 2.0 of GT5 disc might be available to all of us one day. Atleast, that's what I'm hoping anyway

549 minutes is ludicrously too long for a single update man... You may better try to install it through your PS3 after shutting down all the lines that interrupt the downloading process.
