Well since everyone else is plugging their own individual series on the thread today, I'm going to plug mine!
Thursday Night Team Battles are tonight!!
featuring a new and improved...
Roller Derby!!
Here are the rules: Everyone will divided into two teams (
Red Team and
Blue Team) and each team will designate one of their drivers as their "jammer", while everyone else on the team will be a "blocker".
All of the "blockers" will then go to the recommended garage and choose the same car. All of the "blockers" on the Red Team will select the red version of that car while all of the "blockers" on the blue team will get in the blue version.
Meanwhile, the "jammer" on each team will get in a slightly lighter and quicker car. Obviously, they'll choose a color to match their team color.
We will then all get on a custom oval that tezgm99 has created for this event and then start a race for 10 laps. The winning team will be the one whose "jammer" finishes the race first. Because of the nature of this game, skill, strategy, and teamwork will all be rewarded. The winning team will be the one that is the most organized and able to swiftly transition from offense to defense. All of the blockers will want to assist and also protect their jammer, but they'll also want to try to impede or take out the opposing jammer as well.
NOTE: This a "no holds barred" event so pretty much anything goes. However, the one thing you can
not do is go backwards on the track (either facing backwards or going in reverse). If a spin causes you to face backwards, you must immediately turn around and face forwards. The only time using reverse is allowed is when you are stuck against a wall and using reverse is the only way to get back onto the track.
In accordance with our
divisional lounge system, tonight's festivities will be held in the SNAIL_Division3 lounge. If you want to join us tonight, please send a friend request to "SNAIL_Division3" if you haven't done so already. Anyone who wants to practice for Sunday night can hang out in the Division1 lounge, but since we once again had 15+ drivers in the practice session last night, I'm hoping that some of you will take a break from practice and give this idea a shot
just for fun..
Don't knock it till you try it!!
