Looks largely the same as a normal Sierra Sapphire Cossie. (Warning, one bit of bad language)

How about an old steel-bodied farm truck?

Why am I not surprised it's a H22?

Then again, I doubt it would be wise and/or cost effective to get those sorts of outputs from the F22B1...lol

Ever heard of Bisimoto? Took an F22A (4th-gen Accord, 4th-gen Prelude base), and brought it up to 415whp N/A. Granted, it's far from an F22 anymore, but crazy nonetheless. Or his 700-odd whp turbo D16 Civic wagon, then his 500+ hp turbo CR-Z with working hybrid system...

I'm surprised this famous sleeper hasn't been posted yet:

Really, unless you're enough of an enthusiast to recognize those, frankly, generic-looking wheels, you'd never know there's an XJ220 engine in the back.

I know most of these cars keep up the appearance of being sleepers. But a car is hardly a sleeper if it idles as loud as a funny car.

There is a thing called an exhaust that could be added. ;) Dunno if you're specifically talking about the truck I posted, but in that case you'd want it uncorked while racing.

Acura Integra DC2 by 〄 Reece M, on Flickr

This DC2 is awesome. The guy gunned it pulling out of the gas station and it did not sound like any Teggy I have ever heard before, and it was really quick, and I heard a blowoff valve when he changed gears, so that means it's at least turbocharged. There's something awesome going on under there.

Certain imports and just about anything remotely considered a muscle car I can't bring myself to see as a sleeper. I grew up going to car shows and it's become so expected that these cars are modified. I don't care if it's a rusty old Nova, I know there's a V8 in there with more power than is necessary to get you to work. Even a stock DC2-gen Integra looks pretty tough after all the turbo builds I've seen.

I remember seeing that. It was parked up near one of the paddocks, and if it wasn't for the wheels then I wouldn't have noticed. Transit van body on an XJ220. Epic.

Or watch all TG episodes!

I don't have any pics of it, but I know a guy with a 1999 Ford F-250 with a 5.9 Cummins in it. Made 1,088hp at the rear wheels on diesel only. Search Beans Diesel camo truck to see it since I'm on my iPhone currently. Also, it ran a 7.02 at 100 mph on the old 1/8th mile drag strip in Nashville.

Forget which magazine it was, but you can make Harleys really quick, pull up beside a Civic, and then let off an 11 second quarter.

Kind of unfair though when the bike has more displacement than the car.
