I think Nel means that everyone should drive a PT for Le Mans. Instead of 3 classes of 4-6 cars each (it looks like less for the GTs), we could have >12 PTs. I think he actually has a good point.

Round 4 - 21 JUNE
6th Le Mans Classic
POSTER04LEMANSFcopy_zps69a96cd7.gif

Le Mans 2005 NC
Standing Start
50 Race Laps / 420 Miles

Once a WSC season a section of public road is closed off, several miles in length. It's bumpy, with armco lining the road. It is known as the Mulsanne straight, and in a road car is a pleaseant drive down a beautiful french country road. However, this sunday, it will see speeds of over 200mph from the finest pilots in the World Sportscar Championship.

For Le Mans, an updated Balance Of Performance leaves Ferrari with what looks to be a top speed advantage over the Ford and Jaguar cars, that makes up for there downforce deficit. It's surely going to result in the most competitive race in Le Mans history.

It's an event that quite frankly is on a scale bigger than anything in the whole of the FRL. Distance - 3hrs & 20 minutes of flat out racing. Testing concentration and car to the very limit. Noise - V8's burble on the run down to Indianapolis corner, echoing off the tree's. Cars drink fuel with the flat out foot to the floor racing, expect pit stops of nearly a minute long for fuel. Tyres are worn down and battered by constant bumps in the road.

GT and ST class look as topsy turvy as ever, with a Ford GT40 invoking a special sense of nostalgia running in it's own unclassified category, beautiful Gulf colours shimmering in the french sunlight.

It is always the highlight of the World Sportscar Championship season, and a win here should be regarded as a highlight of your career.

On sunday night, at 7.45pm BST, close your visor, take a deep breath, and reach for that ignition switch and prepare yourself - the Le Mans Classic is upon is.

Race Control Statement To Drivers From Furinkazen

Firstly, on a personal level, I want to apologise to all of the WSC drivers for the lack of updates from me. Been a stressful couple weeks which are finally over, i'll get things updated.

Le Mans is unique in that it uses a standing start system - the OP artwork is of last seasons standing start. When the 3-2-1 Countdown is done, everyone hold handbrakes and strictly stay on your grid slot until called. P16 (or last place on the grid, will go to the place the right hand side Ferrari is in the below picture - so that is P16. P15 will go approximately where the left-hand side Ferrari is, P14 where the Ford is located, and so on. It is important to leave approximately one whole car width between you and the next car, as illustrated below - it obviously won't be perfect but if what is pictured can be replicated I will be happy. Race will begin when I type a time in the race chat box.

This start process should take around 5 minutes, and is one reason why the race begins at 7.40pm BST. , with green flag scheduled to drop at 7.45pm BST, 15 minutes earlier than normal. Qualifying commences from 7pm for all categories, the room will be open soon as I can make it online. And for tyres - 12 laps required on your classes harder compound.

Good luck to all in the biggest event of the WSC season, from Furinkazen.
