Evening SNAILs! I'm sorry to have missed the races on Sunday, but here's a taste of what I was up to:

I'm pretty sure that was the plan, at least until GT6 comes out and hopefully we'll be able to bring more drivers in and get back to 5 divisions.

I hope this pans out so that we are both in the same division Drift, I have an idea I would like to try out.
 
Well, the first part is to do a dual live feed, where we stream both our races together, kinda split screen style. The second part is to take both replays, where we are battling and play both replays split screen style in one video.

Live feed = Easy. The El Gato has an option for that and all I need to do is push a button. :)
Split screen replays in one video = A lot of video editing that I can't do cause Im too broke to buy an editing program. :lol:
I'd be down for the streams and if you can edit the videos I'll gladly send you my perspective. :)

I'd be a little leery of doing two feeds from the same room, unless you have bags of bandwidth :scared:

Last night there was some screen jitter issues in the race you participated in. As much as I love this idea, I'd like to see some testing of this before doing it Sunday night 👍
 
Testing wouldn't be a problem. :) If a few guys want to volunteer for a seperate practice room tomorrow Rally and I could both try to stream at the same time. The only rules are that you have to be very patient if things don't go right and connections are bad and laggy. :lol:

You can count me in for the "experiment"!! Maybe it can be done in the D1 lounge so it can be a more controlled environment. I will keep an eye on the thread for any updates.

Although the rumor of D4 and D4 combining still has not been confirmed (as far as I know) but if in fact this does happen, all of D4/5 Team SNAIL should discuss who wants to cover what job. I will be more than happy to keep up with the data entry but we should have it all ironed out before Sunday night. What we need to address the most is a couple of capable hosts. 💡

As for who wants to cover what job in the newly combined divisions, I think we might be going with a suggestion that you made to us several months ago. The one I'm talking about is the one in which each division has someone in charge of making sure each divisional role is filled and completed each week. The name we settled on for this new role is "Division GM" and they would earn $hells for making GM Reports each week (just as the directors get $hells for making Director's Reports). Thoughts?

Sweet! We dice with the "5" guys every week on practice night and they are some righteous drivers! Sunday night is going to be wicked fun!

I will head this up and get things sorted before Sunday. I will start the D4 GMship!!! (If that is cool with everyone. If there is a better qualified individual, I would gladly follow!)

Advance oops/sorry for the double post although I think this one is legit...

I doubt that I will be home in time to race this Sunday. The following week I'm away at the cottage a few days for the Thanksgiving long weekend.

YES!!! I finally get to race with handlebar and driftin, and hooker!👍:)
I can direct and upload video also.
 
I'll see what I can work out for testing tonight, I know the first night I did a live stream, I also hosted. Ps3 was wired, laptop was wireless, and it worked out well. Spending on work load, and homework, but I should be able to test it out. This is also assuming I won't be promoted.
