And poll? Either way, I put this one in the cool bucket. It's pretty graceless and impractical, but it's just badass.

Not to mention, you can catch people off-guard by saying "5-door hatchback."

yeah I'm adding the Poll after I've done specs and Pic.

Bah forgot to check Public Vote box. doesn't matter that much anyway.

Cool. It's still individual, wheras the normal MINI is beginning to blend into the traffic now. And I like the rear doors.

Oh no no no no no no no no. No. Whilst the regular Mini is just the owner saying "please give me an identity", this is an exercise in self-ridicule. That rear door is the most pointless thing I've ever seen on a car.

Hm..I love the Cooper, and have only seen one Clubman (happened to be an S) in person. Where's the "meh" option?

I think I'll have to go with uncool, based on it being a big Mini.

Seriously Uncool. It's incredibly ugly, and seriously, the rear door is the icing on the cake - for its ugliness.

I voted for cool. I dig the two-tone paint on the back. It stands out enough to say "Yeah, I bought a Clubman, want to fight about it?"

It is a pile of Fail. Looks like crap, deviates from the orginal Mini concept, and again, looks like crap.

Srsly uncool. Though James May would probably own one, so even more uncool.

Proper Mini Cooper S... cool. Clubman... shed.

Cool estates (wagons)... M5, E63, RS4.

Its seriously uncool. Not only is it dreadful to look at, its not a proper wagon, its cashing in on a fashion the new mini is cool, dodgey spin-offs aren't.

I don't blame BMW, they are probably making a fair bit of pocket out of it. I blame the imbeciles who buy such a monstrosity.

You're all way out. The Clubman is the most sensible MINI. You get all the fun of the world's greatest handling small car, the MINI COOPER, plus a full 4-seater with great baggage space. An unbeatable combination.

But you no longer have the handling of a small car because the new car has a longer wheelbase, heavier, higher centre of gravity, its become a big blundering wagon but trying to pretend its still a mini. There are far better estate cars out there.

edit] and cooler.

Pretty sure the seating is exactly the same as the normal one... which is a 2 + 2. And luggage space is relative... you certainly couldn't get a full set of golf clubs in the boot.

Really really not. Minis are starting to get dangerously common as it is, and this is just a shameful attempt at shifting a few more. It's a Mini, but more practical. Which makes it vaguely uncool. Except it's not actually that much more practical anyway, which makes it totally pointless to boot. And it's £15,000. £15k! That gets you one hell of a standard Mini if you wanna have fun, a well equipped Mini convertible if you wanna have fun driving round singing to Cyndi Lauper, or a pretty decent Ford Focus if you want something fun and practical. Simple.

But that doesn't have much to do with the coolness factor

The Clubman has "I was developed by the marketing department rather than engineers and car lovers" written all over it.

Uncool.

I stated why I thought it was uncool two post above

Its seriously uncool. Not only is it dreadful to look at, its not a proper wagon, its cashing in on a fashion the new mini is cool, dodgey spin-offs aren't.

I don't blame BMW, they are probably making a fair bit of pocket out of it. I blame the imbeciles who buy such a monstrosity.

that was my original reason and I stand by it, its pretty much what M-spec said.

But you no longer have the handling of a small car because the new car has a longer wheelbase, heavier, higher centre of gravity, its become a big blundering wagon but trying to pretend its still a mini. There are far better estate cars out there.

I was countering someone's point with that quote, its unfair to take it out of context.

Nevertheless a car being a bloated mass doesn't strike me as a particularly cool trait. My opinion of course.

It's controversial. I'd call that cool.

Besides, a bigger Mini equalling fail?
