Gran Turismo 2 (I mean PSP) Smokey Mountain North

That's right. If you are a Old School Gran Turismo fan, you should remember Smokey Mountain North. One of the first Rally Tracks in the Gran Turismo series. Probably most memorable for its HUGE jump right before you go from the pavement to the gravel.

Unfortunately SM North has not made an appearance in GT PSP, or has it....

To get these Tracks on your PSP you need CFW and CWCHeat

Once you have those installed and working add these codes to you .DB file in word-pad.

Did it come with GT PSP our did you compile it from GT2 to a GT PSP friendly format? O.o

I had my old PS2 GT2 copy, & because I'm running a backup, my UMD tray was empty, SO I took my GT2 Disk & I broke it into a fist full of pieces, Stuffed them in the UMD Tray, and when I ran GT PSP, The track became available.

Just kidding

I'm using the HEX codes for the old PS2 games tracks, I got 2 others running nicely.

I DID NOT FIGURE THIS OUT.

I got the codes off the net, and spent the better part of yesterday getting them to work.
 
yeah, and clubman stage would be great to!

I have the ps2 gymkhana track installed on my gtpsp with the help of cwcheat!! It's awesome! :D

Yeah I got that one too, great for getting used to drifting

You should be able to get Circle 60 and SMNorth also if you got gymkhana working. (I got the codes if you want them)

I haven't found any clubman stage codes yet...

...WOW! How do you do that? A guide or a link to where you find this information out would be great if you don't mind.

So two tracks have been mentioned but both of them are from different games (GT2 and GT4) does that mean it's possible to have say Grinderwald from GT2, Complex string from GT3 and Tsukba wet from GT4?

This is really a great discovery, imagine all the gran turismo tracks ever made in your psp......

Disable the HUD, change the day, & hopefully more to come...

You need:
PSP with CFW
HEX engine on the PSP (There are ALLOT, I use CWCheat)
Track Modifier codes (I have provided them)

That's It.

With CFW on the PSP, you can run the HEX engine during the game, when there you select the code you previously entered into the database.

Then run the track.
 
Wow! Boy am I glad I have CFW! Either these are REALLY cool Easter eggs that promote the use of CFW, or something that shows how badly this game is rushed. They can't even be bothered to cut these things out. So much for the "we did everything we could to keep size of game down" comment.

Sorry for being a noob as I never cared much for hacking, but how do I enter these codes? I have CWCheat plug-in installed on my psp and everything.

In the CWCheat folder there should be a .db file, open that with "Word-Pad" (NOT note pad)

Add This to the First line

Select the first character, hit enter to move the whole text down 1 line, then past this... (Making sure to remove the sace under if need be.

The cars are not changed at all they look just like normal, watch the video in Post 1 you will see for yourself.

I don't think PD intended for these to only be available to CFW PSP's. Its a HEX code Hack Dude.

Hmmm I did watch the video and I thought the Sub looked kind of chunky and craipified... but then on a second watch maybe it's just the surroundings that made me think that as it's definitely better than things looked in GT2 days...

So I wonder why these are in the game... do you think there is a way to unlock them without CFW?

Either way, sounds pretty sweet to me... I gotta go install that CFcheat thing...

Im positive they wont be unlockable on a OFW PSP. They can't load plugins to run the HEX engine.

How or why they are in the game I don't know, I just got the codes working yesterday.

Because I haven't seen the video, I'm a bit confused. Were they cut from final game?

Hmmm well it's weird that they would be in there at all... anyhow it's cool they are...

BTW do they just crash on normal race with other cars on track?
