What car and tune (if any) did you use to beat this in b-spec mode?

I'm placing dead last with anything I use. And I'm tired of dumping all my money into cars that place last. 74 Lambo, 70 'Cuda (race, custom tune)

Leave it for now. Go do Like the Wind in B-spec and win a Toyota 7.
Beware you will have to babysit Bob through the Monaco stage (he won't win on his own)

thanks. I think I was doing the idiot approach.

I read posts on other forums where people beat it with the lp400 and the 70 cuda with race conversion.

Toyota 7 will beat the first race easily. Toyota 7 will NOT beat Monaco easily. Best I've done so far at Monaco with B-Spec is 5th.

If anyone has some setup tips I'd love to hear them. He drove away at Deep Forest, by about 6 seconds or something overall.

Do I just need to try and get a good grid so he can get out front quickly? He's not very good in traffic.

This blows, I just destroyed monaco on a-spec and come dead last on b-spec.

Using the Toyota 7, using the same settings as a-spec, my b-spec driver falls on his face. He is level 26.

Anyone got a winning setup for b-spec using the Toyota 7 ?

Appreciated

I managed to gold all in the historic cup with my b-spec'er level 19 i think he was at the time. I did it with the Toyota 7 only thing you really have to worry about is the gear ratio's especially on monaco. Have them low i cant rememeber the exact figure but will be around 170ish mph top speed (you basically want it topping out on the start straight and back curve straight through the tunnel).. acceleration will therefore be much better. if you can also add the high rpm turbo for some extra speed and baby sit the guy for the whole race!

You never want a high gear ratio on Monaco because if you do that you'll never accelerate.

He is level 26.

Suck. Well that isnt very good news.

lol what? thats exactly what i said. you want to have fast accelration so you adjust them to a lower speed.

So does anyone have hints/clues/advice/tunes for Monaco/Cote d Azur in the Toyota 7 in b-spec?

My guy destroyed the first race, but can't seem to do better than 5th at Monaco. There just isn't anywhere to pass and he sucks at passing/driving in traffic anyway.

It is difficult, i found i had to adjust the suspension to make it handle better.
It drives better if you give it more front end grip i think, less likely to hit the barrier on entrance to a corner.

Well i tried the setups and advice everybody else posted. But i had no luck after a few tries.

So i went ahead and tried using the 2J with a stage 3 turbo with medium race tires. Only other thing is that you need to drop max speed to 155mph

Bob was in first within the 2nd lap. And finished the race with a 40+second gap between Bob and the 2J in second place. By the final lap Bob was starting to lap the others.

My bpec is lvl 21 with a slightly cool attitude. I pressed pace up the whole way through the race and he never hit the wall after the tunnel once. In the toyota 7 he would hit that wall all the time.

Hope this helps some of you.

I am racing this onde right now and i am currently 1st on 5th lap. My bob is lvl 24, and i am using a toyota 7.
I installed a stage 3 turbo, medium racing tires, and did some things on the setup. I put the downforce (front and rear) in max, lowered 1 mm in front and rear, more camber ( i think it was 1.5 on the 4 wheels) and changed the ratios to top at 260kmh.
However, i have to keep an eye on the bar, and keep my bob between cool and hot.. right on the middle.. :)
i hope i have helped you.
If there are a few errors on the writing, sorry. I am from portugal.. 👍

EDIT: i have won it :) finally done. That alfa as a reward was great, that car is gorgeous!

I got silver using the tune in the other thread plus some luck and some good coaching.

I'll go back later and get the gold. I was really after the LVL 17 ticket, which I got. I was hoping for a nice German Touring car, but instead I got another Super GT NSX. That's my 4th or 5th Super GT NSX I think.

I won the first race in 2 tries and the race after in 3-4. With the Chapperal 2J yu can even win while it is stock, but yu have to be 4/5 good and not mess up. Beware of Toyota 7 Race car. For the second race, The chapperal 2J will be the problem and non tuning it, youll have to be 5/5 good at driving.

I havent tried using Toyota 7 but it will probably be easier. But it is really hard to get.

I tried setting tranny to top out at 160 and Bob(lev 22) constantly downshifted and everytime he'd pick up some speed would downshift and ended up 12th within 2 laps in Toyota 7.Figured I'd come back to it later.

I've tried... and tried... and wept... and tried... and shouted.... and sacked Bob.

So, in a nutshell, no.

This blows... lol... I just finished this race in A-Spec and I'm trying to prepare myself for this race in B-Spec. Why do the B-Spec drivers suck so much?

Sigh... this is living hell, really. I knew B-Spec drivers suck on tight tracks because they refuse to overtake on anything but a straighaway, but this is indeed horrible...

And here I thought a Toyota Race Car with a stage 3 turbo would do the trick easily. But Bob can't even keep up with the stock Toyota 7 that's participating...

I guess it's completely futile without a Chaperral 2J Race Car. Even the guy in the Corvette Z06 is passing Bob :grumpy:

Wow... He actually was doing well, had the 2J behind him, only some weak opponents to go. And hits the wall.

Demolished the first race with the Toyota 7 but struggling on the second, anyone got a winning setup?

Sweet, I've got a car for the "Like The Wind" event to win that car in B-Spec 👍

I was using the 7 for awhile and failed miserably trying to win with it at Cote D'Azur. I went back to a 330 P4 I had and the 3rd try was the charm, as my level 19 Bob in a maxed out P4 won.

A word of advice: never tell your Bob to overtake before the tunnel as he will attempt to cut the chicane and will crash into the wall. This same advice is to be used for the last corner, as he will do the same exact thing.

What is weird is that similar to the Shelby Cobra in GT3, which although overpowered in the American Cup still couldn't win, the 2J's have an unusual tendency to botch either of these two corners mentioned above and crash headfirst into the barrier, creating a logjam behind them of usually 4 or 5 cars who fail to avoid the incident. This only happens if the 2J is NOT in first as it will fail-bomb (dive-bomb) into the corners with "stopping" results. This incident happens with other cars as well, but not as frequent as I've seen the 2J do.

You can win Monaco with the 7 by giving it a better front end for avoiding those barriers on the turn in. Try suspension settings. Camber for a start.

Camber was adjusted and it still didn't do me any good. I won though so it's not as big of a deal.
