Guys I need some kind of hint or something for this challenge I can barley complete one lap on any of the tracks I just cant react quick enough with the ds3 for these races, and I dont have the space in my house to set up a wheel so thats not even an option. I am driving with no driving aids except abs set to 1 any hints?

fell free to use at least SRF for this event. With a DS3 it's just too difficult even to reach bronze. I used a wheel (golded all three tracks in 6 hours) and still I haven't found anyone capable of gold this event on a DS3. Just give a try with the SRF on 👍

Thanks for the hint but nothings working. This feels like the biggest slap in the face to me It took forever to get to level 30 then Im faced with this ridiculous challenge. I dont have the time to sit here and play the same challenge over and over. Ive been trying for 3 days no and Ive been getting no where.

There's numerous threads about this and I've yet to see anyone gold these with a DS3, I've bronzed Monza and got to within a second of bronzing Nurburgring before giving up to try a different approach. Get to level 35 B-Spec and you'll win an X2010, then you can do as much practice laps as you want without getting disqualified, practice until you're within the times needed to bronze or silver each track, then go do the Vettel challenges.

It takes so long to get to lvl 35 b spec and i dont like leaving my ps3 on when im not home.

Leave it on overnight while you sleep then turn it off in the morning when the race is finished. I do a B-Spec endurance race every night this way and I only need one more Tsukuba 9hrs for level 35, it doesn't take that long when you're not really thinking about it.

Despite the 43532130123812 trillion posts that will follow this statement.

Why do you want a car you can't even drive.

So I can learn to drive it without having to repeat a challenge over and over because then it would actually be fun, instead of annoying.

Does anyone have any tips on suzuka with a DS3?

Be really soft with the controls. The time to beat bronze isnt out of reach, just take every corner on the right line (its sounds silly to mention something so obvious but it is the difference between taking a corner at 180 or 120 mph). Turn off the driving line and find your own braking points (the driving line makes you brake to early, by miles, except on a the first corner where it asks you to brake halfway around the corner).

The sector times to get bronze are:
30.xxx, 55.xxx,. 1.08.7xx
29.xxx, 54.xxx ,1.07.7xx

When i got bronze after about 5 hours I was under by about 2 tenths i stood up and punched the air, I was so happy

Just finished 2 laps at the ring best I could get was a 2:26.407. I dont get how your supposed to drive this car the cornering sucks it has ridiculous bump steer. Ill have the ds3 analog stick fully turned and the car barley turns because all it does is hop up and down.

ive given in to mate... luckily my mate sent me an x1 a while ago so i really dont have any need to complete them apart from xp n money.

Imo,this car and this challenge try to simulate top racing......which is not for everyone and definitely requires a wheel.

/agree /agree /agree.

97% game completion and just this and a handful of Endurance races left.

Got within 9 seconds of bronze using my DS3 at Monza and felt really chuffed.
Then it dawned on me just how far off of bronze I was.
I try every now and then when I'm in the mood to dissappoint myself, but otherwise I'm going to have to wait for it to get nerfed somehow.

The level of accuracy which is demanded at such a ferocious speed is what causes a problem for me with my analogue stick.

In anything less nippy, you have a large enough fraction of a second to correct your steering/throttle/brake - which tends to happen alot with the DS3.

With the X2010, there simply isn't *any* spare bits of time left over on any corner to get it wrong and then correct it.

Fair play to anyone who persists and completes it, but for me personally, it will be the race that beats me and stops me getting 100%. It certainly lives up to "simulation" instead of "game" with this one.

It's trying to simulate how the get the driver's organs rearranged in his body, and has absolutely nothing to do with realism or a simulation of realism.

But yeah, it requires a wheel!

Or... how about... if the game detects you do not have a wheel attached, you can hit R1 as you go into a corner and the game enters "bullet time", where everything goes in slow-motion and you can sip a cup of tea whilst gently guiding the car round the corner!

I got excited when I finally reached B-Spec level 30, went to try it out and was surprised, if it was something like what the FGT is to the Group C Cars it would be okay, but it's just ridiculous unreal, I tried it some minutes and gave up, I play with a DS3 aswell, I just traded it for something tried it a bit and its there gathering dust, If I were you I'd do the same.

To the OP, do yourself a favour and start with Monza. Its the easiest out of the3 tracks to get a bronze on. Silver is possible too. Get a bronze and your confidence will go up in the car I assure you

Yeah someone from here just sent me an x1 actually ill try to beat this challenge if I ever get a wheel.Oh and for those of you who say this simulates top racing, it is physically impossible for any human to drive this car. Formula one is no where near this speed.

I managed to bronze the challenge with a DS3 controller, and managed to obtain at least Silver with my DFGT wheel, with a Gold on Monza.

It just takes alot of practise and you knowing what to do and when.

Keep Skid Recovery on since turning it off isnt beneficial. You will also go around the track slightly quicker if you turn traction control off since you are not having limited acceleration in the corners

How long did you take to get bronze? and be honest!

As i've said on many threads the time required for gold for DS3 users should of been different to wheel users. I managed gold relatively easy but I wouldn't of stood a chance at getting gold without the wheel. Silly really because us wheel owners only represent 10% of those who play GT5.

Same with the time trials if you don't own a wheel you have no chance of getting into the top 10. I do feel sorry for those who don't own a wheel and is the reason why some of my friends have already traded GT5 in. What PD should of done is catered for both wheel and DS3 users.

It's completely impractical for me to set up a wheel and pedals in my lounge.
Not enough space, coffee table too low, floor too slippy etc.

I'll have to take the damn game around a friend's house and sign into PSN there for a few hours to use his wheel and complete it. Utterly daft.

You have to bend a few conventional racing rules to make the X2010 work. You can brake while turning into a corner; you can also steer very aggressively through most turns because of the huge amount of downforce generated, so don't be hesitant to whip that car around a corner.

I used a wheel, but the driving style is applicable to both I think. Took me 5 hours just to bronze all 3 (close to 2.5 hours for Suzuka/Nurb, and about 10 minutes for Monza).

Yes thats why I say PD have been unfair to DS3 users and should of taken these players into account. Some will say just go and buy a wheel but like you say for some people its impractical.

The challenges are hard with controller but can be gotten bronzes, I got easily bronze with a normal PS3 controller on Monza, and after a good practise I got bronze on Nurburgring. suzuka is harder tho with controller.
Then I got myself a wheel (logitech driving force GT) and golded monza within 5 tries.
After I put the anti slip recovery on, on nurburgring i got gold in 6 tries too.
then I started suzuka, I got the silver already, and can do the gold time (in theory) so it takes some more practise but then Ill do it. (also with anti slip recovery ON)

The challenge is fun!!
Although I have to agree that its impossible to get all golds with controller on all these tracks. (which is a bit of a shame!) > a steering wheel makes this game much more enjoyable!!
