Update from PD: Seasonal Events Update Schedule

Just posted in the News > INFORMATION section of GT5:



Our thanks to you all for you participation in the Seasonal Events!

From this point the Seasonal Events will generally be updated on Thursday every week at 04:00 (GMT).

Please note that the timing of these updates may vary by +/- 1 day, we recommend checking the distribution periods as listed in the Event list screen.

Make sure to keep an eye out for extra Special Events not included in the periodic updates! These will be notified separately in our news section.



It would appear then, that this is confirmation of what we all suspected: new weekly seasonal events; every week. :)

When i first started playing GT5 and noticed a MUCH reduced events list (lack of dealership events) in the game i feared i would play it for a few months and then get rid of the game on Ebay or something, these seasonal events now give the game a new level of playability and i will not be selling my prized GT5 now...

Kudos to PD for keeping these seasonal events, and i hope they carry over into GT6 as well.

My only gripe is that we cannot choose which seasonal events we like and save those to the HDD and make them part of the game....Cant have everything i spose:)

That, they must stay in the game, not be replaced.

Great! Now we have 4-5 million each week :D. Plus the seasonal events are the best in the game imo!
 
You forgot the best part of the message. 'Additionally, we will kick off the start of GT Driver's Club, a series of exclusive race events with unique requirements and special prizes, keep an eye on the News section for all future GT Drivers's Club announcements!'

It seems to be region specific. UK users are getting the message exactly as in the OP. Mentions nothing about GT Drivers Club.
 
awsome, this will keep me coming back every thursday and keeping me interested because i get to buy/try new cars
 
I have checked the GT websites for multiple regions and I see no news on this at all please post a link to the site you are refering too.
 
Oh OK. That GT5 news site. I'll have to check it out when I next get on the game.

This is what I was referring to. It mentions GT Driver's Club on the NA version news post.
 
I'm on the west coast of Canada and I got the news update on my GT5 screen this morning. Mine says the Seasonal Events will be updating on Wednesday's at 7AM PST/8AM MST/9AM CST/10AM EST...additionally, I also have the section regarding the GT Drivers Club. Sounds good!
 
This GT Driver's Club sounds good. Nice to see they're still adding more content to the game.

Love the seasonal events. hardly played A spec and have only touched b spec once and I'm level 25 or so.
 
I'm hoping the Driver's Club is the online leaderboard??? But that glass over there is half full too....

I think this message from PD is region specific, so I guess your region isn't included for GT Driver's Club.
