In my german version it doesnt say anything about a drivers club neither.

Deep breath... Sorry but I m a little pissed now. Not only is North America getting the GT Academy and we arent, now also a Drivers club exclusively? If those two arent part of the same thing I m crying foul! :ouch:

I'm hoping the Driver's Club is the online leaderboard??? But that glass over there is half full too....

Jerome

Half full or empty, the glass is full of awesome.
New stuff all the time = win.

Excellent news, I was getting worried whether they were just a limited-time feature.

Europe has had 2 GT Acedemies, what are you complaining about?

Now that it looks like seasonal events will be updated around 10am Wednesdays, does this mean that the online garage will be updated the same time?

The reason I ask is I've been slowly buying up the DTM cars in the online garage. I don't play that much during the week, and I've paced my credits grinding with the assumption the next update won't be until 10pm Wednesday. If the next update is tomorrow morning, it squeezes my schedule and I would have to buy the remainder of the cars before tomorrow.

^^^^^10 a.m. Eastern Time, the times are different for everybody. When I checked the news on the menu it also said be ready for special prizes; maybe they mean prize cars?

Tezster, If you can, b-spec grind the dream car championship, I made over 5m in a few hours and bought the cars.

This is neat little update in my opinion, I started slowly moving away form A-spec and more toward B-spec, but this will make me play more!

Since I haven't seen this spelled out yet, new events will come online every Wednesday. These are the times (for the US),

7am PST
8am MST
9am CST
10am EST

awesome news. i am at the breaking point with gt5 now. kinda stuck with a-spec till i get my x1 at lvl 30, but these seasonal events ensure that i'll come back to it every week to earn some much needed cash and xp. best decision PD has made with the GT franchise since the idea of the first GT. Kudos PD, keep it up.

I'm guessing it's going to be 10pm EST as usual for the next update. Might change for the coming weeks, I'm sure.

I'm wondering if the bulletin should have said PM instead of AM. Previous updates changed at 9PM CST and this bulletin said 9AM. The bulletin for Europe said 4AM GMT which would correspond with the PM times for North America. I think we'll see the update at 10pm EST as we did before.

Unfortunately it's not North America that's getting GT Academy, only United States. It's not available to Canadians either 👎

Great. Now I'm never going to finish A-Spec. Will be spending too much time on events that expire and racing friends online.

I don't think we will see this new schedule or the driver's club start until next week. If you look at the expiration date on the 5th round of races, its next wednesday. This leads me to believe this won't start until next week. And the 4th round of events expires at 10pm EST tonight.

They've had 2 sets of seasonal events open at a time since the start so I doubt they'll wait till next week.

I was wondering the same thing, that is a great point about the European bulletin. We'll probably find out tonight although I am leaning toward GT Driver's Club starting with the Feb update.

I don't understand why Europeans are crying about not getting GT Academy right now, when they've already had two of them.

great news! i hope they will include an endurance at some point just a 40/60 lap race would be great! deep forest^^ we will see it tommorow.

if anybody gets the event let me us know cuz then we can figure out from your time that you got it how long we have to wait for next time!

I love these seasonals I try to do them with minor upgrades if any at all. I have watched many a RL race where drivers have had misfortune and found themselves at the back of the field only to dig deep and fight their way back to the front, these seasonals let me live out racing driver fantasy!! Thankyou PD !!!
