*** Attention Racers ***

**Read Everything**

I’ve decided to hold a race that is open to anyone that shows up at the scheduled event time. This will be (1) race only with prizes! I will select the car and track before hand to give all enough notice to prepare for it.

Why? Well I’m at the point in the game where I have a few endurance races left to complete and I’m not really interested in collecting every car. I do feel I have the cars I want in the game and have turned to focusing on fine tuning my main racers. Besides, I thought people might be interested in turning a few laps for some free stuff.

RULES:
I will HOST the server.
I will be using a Mic to talk only.
I will pick (1) car to race, along with the track. You can only use that (1) car and nothing else. There will be no limits on (HP) or (Mods) on the posted car. Also, open to controller or steering wheel.
I will open the race up 30 minutes before hand to give the people that are around enough time to get in and get ready. Note: 5 minutes before the race starts, I will kick anyone out that doesn’t have the (1) race car that was posted for the race. I’m planning on starting the race on the hour posted, so if your still in the lobby tuning your car for the race (WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU TO FINISH!)
I will be setting the host server for 16 people. Including myself that leaves 15 spots open… First Come First Serve! I am only posting this event on here.

Prizes:
1st Place: Any color X1 or anything out of my garage.

2nd Place: 1000 Ticket

Note: Both 1st and 2nd will receive paints (Mattes, ColorShifts etc.) along with their prize.
Note: Some of my cars do have 0 miles. But, I’m not going to go threw my garage to find the winner a 0 mile car. Winner picks the car… miles or not that’s what I’m offering!
Note: I will gift to the winner of the race first. But I can send 1st and 2nd prizes same day.

A few things…
Hey guys this is for a little fun, nothing more. I do hope this brings out a few more racers. All I see around is trading rooms or rooms where people are looking for a certain car. I’ll start this off with something a little small and see where it goes from there. Now… my internet connection is pretty good. But for some reason I do lose connection I will return here and keep you updated. I’m located on the West Coast of the U.S. but we will be going off of the EST. Standard Time, Which is 3 hours ahead of me. As for myself racing… If by some chance I place 1st or 2nd my position does not count. Prizes are for 1st and 2nd place excluding me.
Please Do Not PM Me about this event or try to contact me threw PSN. Will Not Reply. Please keep all postings on this thread.

I will try to keep this as simple as possible.

Grid Start/Fastest First
Boost: OFF
Penalty: WEAK
Mechanical Damage: LIGHT
Grip: LOW

Regulation Settings:
Power/Weight: Will be set as close as I can to the posted Vehicle.
Tires: Unrestricted
No Driving line/Active steering: Everything else is OPEN to USE.

I will post here 30 minutes before the race starts, the room #.
I will keep you updated as much as possible.

If there is a show of people this week, the following week it'll be set more around Sunday afternoon/evening. And a bit longer of a race.

If you read it, you would understand. Penaltys and damage will be on. I was just saying that your going to run it a few people that might give you a little push. Not everyone runs a clean race.
 
I want to participate. I have a Ferrari Enzo tuned and I hope that is compatible with the limits set before the race.

Only two questions:
1) the 12.00pm to me that in Italy would be 12.00pm? ie, the same time?
2) to participate I post my PSN ID?
3) the name of the room where the race will be announced in this thread?

Not sure about your time zone, but I'm going off of the Eastern Standard time of the U.S. so you might compare your time zone to New York or something east coast.
No need for posting your PSN, I'll post here 30 minutes before hand the name of the room that I'm in. That should give people enough time to get in before high noon.

I compared the time in New York than in Italy and there are 6 hour time difference. 12.00pm then in reality for me would be 06.00am ... unfortunately far too soon.
 
If this gets a good turn out tomorrow, then I'm thinking the following weekend will be a bit longer race with more prizes. Also might try to shoot for a Sunday afternoon/evening race.
 
Sounds like a great idea - what would the time be in GMT? I am not even sure what EST is... thanks :)
(I do love the concept of one make/model races) :)

Sorry I don't really know the time zones off the top of my head. I'm sure if you google New York time zone it would help you.
Ya the one car/track race I hope will come down to who put thier tuning time in on it. The Enzo for me is taking some time to get used to feel of it.

EST = Eastern Standard Time of the United States
 
I'm in, see you tomorrow. is this "prize car" a random selection or are you putting a name to it?
 
this sounds great. i'd like to put my name forward for next week's event (if it will take place on a sunday) as i'm rarely free at that time on a saturday.
how is it you are registering people for the event - you need PSN IDs?
I read earlier in the thread that you will be posting the name of the room in which you will be hosting the event... are people expected to simply search for this room in the main online lobby?
 
Ah... if you'd have said the time zone that NY is in :D that's 1700GMT then - sadly I start my radio show at that time on a Saturday so I can't join in :(
 
Did I read this correctly?

You are ALLOWING skid recovery? Please tell me this is a typo. The race is a farce with it on...ASM / Active Steering should also not be allowed.

If these aids are gone, I'm in! And thanks for posting!

The power/weight is open to what ever you want to do to the car. Which is the Enzo this week.

In settings I will try to set the power/weight ratio to match that car. (Enzo)
Just in case someone wants to jump while this is being setup. I said earlier that the last 5 minutes I was kicking any non Enzo's. This will help thin it out if theres any left come game time.
 
i think it's absolutely okay to run those aids, just because YOU don't doesn't mean others shouldn't be able to. and if your good with those aids off then you should be better with them on, so why are you compaining?
