Wasn't sure where to post this and have no idea if it's happend to anyone before, So BEHOLD -

deepforestraceway.jpg

The PERMANENT new look for my deep forest raceway.

I have no idea how this happend and how to fix it. It gets really weird when sometimes the track is replaced by images of a laptop keyboard instead of weird pixels.( can't take photo of it, they dissapear in the photo.)

Anyone else had this?

Post a photo or a video if you can.

I've seen it happen in Nazi Zombies in Black Ops, but not in Gt5..

You've entered the Matrix.

:ouch::ouch:

I've had similar experiences on the SSR7, but this is extreme.

I'd say deleting and re-installing the game data is in your future....

reminding me of rainbow mountain from mario kart :)

A one time thing or happening often... artifacts like that in PC gaming are usually from overheating graphic processors or memory, or defective video memory. Make sure your console is getting plenty of ventilation.

I too have had this although way less extreme, I was speeding down a straight lining up for the corner... then the corner vanished into that stuff in your picture. 2nd lap the back was fine but the grass on the side was all glitchy instead.

Expecting the PS3 to fail tbh

Its ALWAYS like that. every time i race that track it looks like this. its only Deep forest that does it.

Back up your hard disk mate 👍

That's mental stuff and no good will come of it.

Matrix!!!!

edit: try to re-install

If it was on all tracks I'd say your PS3 was dying, just on one track? I'd say your hard drive is dying/ will die soon.

Finally, someone has entered the 4th dimension!

Anyways we are going to die, ain't it?

Maybe thats the Mimesis Kaz was going on about, and you found it.

budious

Definitely not an overheating issue. Considering there are no issues with other tracks according to OP, and the car is perfectly rendered. Looks like corrupt data to me - not necessarily a result of hard drive failure.

Damn, I thought I was bad with bits of the Ring's road vanishing. You sir have went a step further, well done.

Indeed. GT5's streaming of textures and geometry does get a bit messy sometimes.

Deleting game data might well fix it.

Normally, if this would have been a screenshot from a PC game, everyone would say, that your GPU is dying soon. That this just happens at one specific track, permanent... odd. Should be everywhere, even on other games, too.

Well, they'd be labeled as sensationalist drama queens there, too ;)

Try blowing in the cartridge.

 It is somewhat evocative of those sorts of errors!

You know you have probably done too many drugs when you can start to take pictures of what you've seen to show others.

Blowing the cartridge? Nowadays you disassemble your PS3 and put the main platine into your oven for 25min. Well, life got complicated.

The thing that seems the weirdest to me isn't the random coloured pixels but when the track is replaced by a texture of a laptop keyboard at random.

Why the hell is the a photo of a laptop in this game?

EDIT - It seems to be different every time i load the track, now i have black and white stripes with the weird pixels on top of them.

Its obviusly a corrupt data, thats because is in one track, re-install.

follow the white rabbit!

maybe it hepls somehow.

PS. cool image! never knew it is possible in GT5!

There's a repair cache files in the options if I recall. Might wanna try that.
