I'm thinking of getting tdu2, since a need a little break from gt5, but i'm not sure if it's worth it! I've heard some great stuff about this game, but also alot af nagative stuff! therefor, i would your honest opinion on the game, before i rush out and waste 50 bucks :P

cheers

Ok online and large quantity of roads, Its fun to drive freely, but not a good racing experience, overall i like it, dont buy prize cars when you win them in the game :) youll regret it

Just brought this game today, and been playing it now for 4 hours

the game does have its problems, driving the cars takes a bit of getting use to , navigating to menu system take a while also

would I say buy it? yes m8 I would its a fun game with loads to do and see, you can lose your self just by the free roaming, drive for miles and miles and miles

Just hoping that they get these problems sorted soon, cant list them as in the 4 hours playing Ive noticed quite a few as I'm sure you will if and when you play, but none at the moment have hindered my playing enjoyment

the game is a breath of fresh air a break from the norm that's for sure.

I wouldn't buy it if your tight on money as Need for speed shift 2 is coming out and that is likely to be awesome.

I would wait until the patch gets released, if it fixes what they claim it will fix go for it, if not I would give it a miss.

I would highly suggest waiting for a patch. You have the risk of game corruption (I lost 60 hours because of a corrupt gamesave) and a long list of problems with the game, especially if you get the Casino. The Casino is a LOT of fun when it works, but its also very hit and miss right now. Once TDU2 gets a patch, it will be an amazing game. So wait until after the patch and you will be very happy. Its a great game and will be even better once patched.

If you do get the game before the patch, just play the single player and avoid the Casino. Then your experience should be pleasant as long as the game loads for you and lets you in. If it doesnt load, you will have to play offline.

Wait for all the bugs to be fixed, then enjoy it as a casual driving/racing experience.

This isnt your traditional racing game like GT5, or like Shift 2 is going to be, this is The Sims with cars. Good fun when it works though.

Hate it when people refer this game to the sims your avatar is the leat important thing for this game 75% of time your in your car The apartments are good though not as cheesy as i wud of thought

Yes buy it with the bugs the game is good when they are fixed it will be great people who moan dont understand that programming is darn hard and expect a perfect game with stuff the ps3 cant handle IMHO.

Worth buying?

Yes, I think so, I'm loving every second of it, I am however playing with the G27.

Only thing that's been a problem for me is that the game freezes when I try to change the floors in one of my houses, but then again, who cares about that? It's the driving & racing I'm after!

its one of those games that you can never get bored of! you can either cruise for miles and miles or race with random people on online...out of 10 i would give it a 6....takes time to get used to the way the cars handle especially coming from GT5!!!!
but yerh i would say wait for the patch to come out 1st!

I really enjoyed TDU so I ordered TDU2 on Ebay for $30. Should be here in a couple of days, if you have a driving rig then this series is great fun, much like Midnight Club LA is.

you can free roam, actually people are not very eager about racing.

Cool, I may get it to replace GTA's online free roam. All I want to do is drive with others and explore.

For those of you that missed this reply. 28 days still no patch.

That's is poor, your not asking for improvements but fixes.

I usually play sims like GT5, Forza, and occasionally Shift, but decided to give TDU2 a try. I read reviews and heard all of the bad things and problems, but for some reason, I still bought it last week. I really expected to hate the game as the graphics are not good, the physics are not good, the story is terrible, and there are server issues. However, to answer the original question, it was definitely worth buying for me.

Racing in GT5 and Forza is great, but I have always wanted to do more with these amazing supercars. In TDU2, you can race the supercars, and then just fool around on the street with them. Just cruising and going through the gears on windy county roads in an Aston Martin is flat out fun! Having other players all over cruising around that you can challenge is also cool. I also downloaded the casino and it is a fun distraction to play with other players. If you win big it is cool to know you can go buy a new car with your winnings.

I never played TDU1 and I started with very low expectations, but have really had fun with this game and will probably play this more than GT5 moving forward. GT5 and Forza are incredible for the adrenaline rush of racing, but if you have the money, TDU2 is a really fun additiion.

BTW, I use a G27.

I have read lot of people having issues with this game, but I haven't got anything seriously bad. I have PS3 version.

Early in career I got stuck on issue I didn't get car out from home which was frustrating. I did ask solution from their bulletin board and quickly got reply to play further offline mode so it solved issue which was something to do with online game.

For new game it has teething problems - like had GT5

Second problem was to get my preorder dlc car working, Again solution was in offline mode to go used car dealer.

Remember, game is kind of hybrid. You can play it offline, semi-online when you ignore other players 100% or full online when all peeps around world are causing havoc there.

Overall, game is fun arcade. And both Ibiza and Hawaii are modelled nicely!
Maybe TDU3 has Australia? :dopey:

Looks like the 360 owners are having most of the problems with this game. The list of issues on the 360 is quite huge. 30 days and still no patch.
