Does anyone know if PD have any plans to release more cars in DLC updates on the PS Store?

Keep any eye on the news here, or the general GT5 thread. I'm sure the chaps here will be the first to know/discuss it.

I'm sure they will if GT6 is ps4 only.

Would be nice to have more McLaren F1's. Totally missing the LM, GTR Longtail and most of the other liveries like Gulf and Lark, those were lovely. And the original Euno Clinic that won Le Mans.

I want all the stealth cars! Quit holding out PD.

^^ You can still buy the signature edition if you want them bad enough. I've seen them go on ebay for $100.

I know better yet the Asian Edition is cheaper. But I have to re-start the game. :scared:

They should just put them in the PSN store. People like me will buy it, I don't care how much. :D

We already see the FT86 concept 2, that probably be in the DLC.

Same here.

Being in the US I kinda feel I got kinda 🤬 shafted in that I could've only gotten certain Stealth cars - and to do that I would have had to obtain the PlayStation Store codes for them by either buying different pre-order versions of the game (i.e. GameStop, Best Buy, Amazon) or buying the codes on the secondary market (i.e. eBay).

Heck, at this point, I think all the Stealth codes from game pre-ordering have expired the end of January, so I've totally missed out. My Stealth McLaren F1 is a great car, and it would be nice for it to have siblings.

I can probably still get and use PlayState Store codes for the Chrome Line cars (from the Collector's Edition), but again I'll have to buy another version of the game or obtain the codes on the secondary market.

I know that the maximum 1,037 cars that I can at this point still have (with sixty-four still to go) is a huge and crazy amount of cars that I could surely drive and enjoy for as long as I'll play GT5, but I would hope on the opportunity to have yet more!

Peace...

Why would you have to restart the game?

Why would you have to restart the game?

You would have to make a new PSN account with the correct region of your DLC code in order to redeem them.

I've not done it myself, but I think once you DL them they are available to every user on that ps3.

For instance, mine came with DLC chromeline, and I bought several stealth codes after the fact. But any user on that PS3 has all those cars available.

So the only problem I could forsee is if this did not behave the same way because of the region difference, which is entirely possible.

Would love car packs but it looks like it sort of won't be available.

Well said.

The issue is having the matching disc. Like for me if I went and bought PAL stealth codes I would have to have a PAL game disc. PAL DLC will not work with NTSC game disc or vice versa. I'm not sure if the cars appear on every account when you mix regions. But even if they did it wouldn't work unless your using the correct region's disk.

Why would you want more cars? I mean they already have 1000 in the game. What more do you need? Ha ha!

The signature editions I've seen for sale come with the disc.

I don't think mixing the regions would be a problem as I have some hong kong accounts that play fine with my ntsc disc and I still have all the DL'ed cars.

Yes, everything will work fine I'm sure, but there is no way around not starting over. Thats the point I was trying to make.

Well, like some people say, from those 1000 cars in the game 200 are Nissans, 100 are Hondas, 70 Mazdas and 30 Mitsubishis. That's what he feels, that needs more variation! xD Ok, talking serious.

There are some cars in GT5 that were in previous GT's that are missing. (GT4 and GTPSP they missed some, but from GT2 they missed a lot of cars.)
So I would like a pack with GT2 forgotten cars, maybe with some of them, I mean, the more important! (Venturi, for example...)

However there was a crappy car in GT2 I would not like it to come back. The Dodge Phaeton!!! Ugh!

I understand....but I don't think that is correct. I can let you know for certain in a few days.

I get the impression they might be releasing a big pack of cars (and maybe tracks) on a whole 'nother disc, sort of like how Rock Band has those disc packs.

Let me know, I am very curious, I suspect your DLC mixing is either one of 2 things.

1. In Some of the original PS3 games DLC was region free.

2. It works for some games, but not this one.

I have done lots of reading on this matter although I have never tested myself. Read post #20 here: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/gran-turismo-5/84285-help-pls-how-use-my-asia-region-gt5-dlc-code-my-us-psn-account-2.html

Well, I really don't need any more cars. But additional liveries to cars already in the game would be nice. Or a livery editor would also be nice.

No info yet.

They defiantly need some more variation they've put just about every Japanese car from the las 40 years but seemed to forget about the german and British stuff where are the E30 BMW's and Ariel atoms!

I'll let you know. I will have the pal disc and stealth codes. Post # 20 seems like the guy was using Asian codes and american disk.
The question for me is this: I have PAL disc, Pal stealth codes, and Make an EU account. Let's say I DL the stealths fine, will other accounts, regardless of region be able to use them? My current setup I have some HK accounts and US accounts I created for duping, and they all share all the DL'ed cars...even the stealths that I have.

I'm looking forward to having a definitive answer.

Yes, Asian is the cheapest option. But I imagine the same rules would apply. Anyway the rest of that thread had different opinions as well. I really hope it does work. I'll check back. :)

I hope so too....I read somewhere that you can't share stealth cars, this was my back up plan. I've not been on since reading that to see if it's true but if it is my only shot is what I outlined above.
