GT5 car packs?

I hope so too....I read somewhere that you can't share stealth cars, this was my back up plan. I've not been on since reading that to see if it's true but if it is my only shot is what I outlined above.

I'm about to get the Asian copy and play it through again, just to make it into the ultimate sub-account with all the stealth cars.

There are so many cars missing from the game. Many of the 1,000+ cars are totally redundant. As for car packs, YES I WANT THEM! I'd gladly pay for stealth cars and chrome line cars. Especially the NSX GT500 Stealth Model. Other developers sell maps, PD should sell cars.

Would it be mean to tell you how sweet the NSX is? To tell you it's positively breathtaking? To liken it to metallic MDMA? Sex & stimulants mounted to a chassis? The GT-R and SLS AMG too.

THe mclaren is good too if you like the regular mclaren, but not my favorite.

There are so many missing cars, and the 10 to 12 year old concept cars are obsolete and should have been nixed in place of new cars. Being that PD is always lacking in the car list department, I see no possibility of PD releasing car I would want to buy. Maybe if it included a CTS-V, 90's Mustang Cobra, New Aston Martins, Superleggera lambos, or american versions of Japanese cars with the proper V6 motors instead of a tiny 4cycl.

They will not make all the STEALTHS available. That would step on the toes of everybody (except the US) who bought the Signature Edition.
Just our luck (US), only PSN DLC cars we will get is the Chromeline cars that came with the Collector's Edition (which I have).

Friend if I could have bought a Signature Edition the day GT5 came out I would have. I'm NTSC your edition is exclusive to PAL. In order for me to get all the stealth cars on a NTSC disc I would have had to Pre-Order the game from 6 different stores just to get the bonus DLC. It's not about the money I'm willing to pay what you did too.

NTSC deserves these cars!!! I can't even buy them on ebay. PAL still can.

Just a heads up.

I have a US sub account on my PAL PS3. I obtained a code for the Edge Camaro SS. I can download the car onto my computer but, it does not show in my garage.

This means its region locked.
I would imagine the same thing will happen if you try to get Stelth & C-Line cars.

Stealth, C-Line, Edge SS and the GT Academy GT-R Special can all be put online but, cannot be borrowed.

The R10 your talking about right? Who in the US has an R10 and where did you get it from? This is what I already know:

Walmart: Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model

Gamestop: McLaren F1 Stealth Model and Joey Logano's #20 Gamestop NASCAR

Amazon: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model

From what I've read yes, but you have to make a new separate Hong Kong account thus starting a new game. When i figure this out for myself I will let you know.

I will try but, you do know when you share a stealth car online you can only see it, your friend can't use it, there is an error message. So It would be highly unlikely for this to work while mixing DLC regions.
But of course I will try and hope to find a glitch like post #37.

It works for you if your sharing between your own accounts on your own PS3? (I'm asking/assuming)

And the Asian version has all the stealth cars from what I can see, if your talking about the new EU exclusive academy car then no.

From what I have read on this forum and on other forums, there is no conclusive information of what works and what doesn't.

Post #20 from the PS3Trophies site suggests that ASIA DLC -> US Copy fails.

Could we get the following added to the OP so we have a single source of truth instead of assumptions flying all over the place?

ASIA DLC (PAL) -> US Copy (NTSC) FAIL
ASIA DLC (PAL) -> EU Copy (PAL)
ASIA DLC (PAL) -> AU Copy (PAL)
Japanese DLC (NTSC) -> US Copy (NTSC)
EU DLC (PAL) -> UK Copy (PAL)
UK DLC (PAL) -> EU Copy (PAL)

etc.

I think if we can get an exhaustive list it will stop the questions of "will this DLC work on this copy" once and for all.

I'm pretty sure its all fail for all of them if you don't have the 2 versions of the game to test. The PSTrophies post was interesting, but he did not have 2 copies of the game.

I would be more inclined to assume that so long as it is NTSC -> NTSC, or PAL -> PAL it will work.

But again, we do not have conclusive evidence of either one or the other so unless someone has tried via redeeming the codes or gamesharing we don't know.

From what I have read, I have found no-one who has tried sharing the packs within PAL regions Asia/EU/UK/AU, or NTSC regions JP/US. It is always a NTSC -> PAL (or vice-versa) combination which seems to NOT work. So, until we have someone who has information on this it is inconclusive in my opinion.

(Then again, the post #20 guy said his Chrome Line cars worked from ASIA -> US).

The only way to do this without buying codes to test, is if people who trust each other can gameshare. Unfortunately, I cannot partake in this as I currently do not have any car packs.

Yes i feel the same way as you fatrab. Everyone has an opinion but no one actually tried it. I bought an Asian edition with just the stealth cars for $50 I will post what I find out here. Only problem it will take a month for me to receive it.
And you can game share within the same region that has already been proven.

Edit: I re-read your post and I understand what your saying now. Yes I never saw anybody try that either.

Would be nice to have more McLaren F1's. Totally missing the LM, GTR Longtail and most of the other liveries like Gulf and Lark, those were lovely. And the original Euno Clinic that won Le Mans.

There is a GTR Longtail as a standard car, but it's listed under BMW instead of McLaren, as it was powered by a BMW engine and when it first appeared in GT4, PD didn't have the rights to use McLaren.

Well, like some people say, from those 1000 cars in the game 200 are Nissans, 100 are Hondas, 70 Mazdas and 30 Mitsubishis. That's what he feels, that needs more variation! xD Ok, talking serious.

I mean there are roughly 22 MX-5s, 13 Fairladys, 10 GT-Rs, 16 Silvias, and 41 Skylines.

5 different makes covering 102 different models!

Amen, Brotha. Seriously, We didn't have the practical ability to get all of the Signature Edition cars, so don't go on about not deserving them...

Even if the whole pack was $40 in the PS Store, to make it "Fair", I'd still buy it...
