I tried to figure this out to post pictures for 10 min, and i cannot find where to. I feel like i am failure XD any one to help me out please?

Obtain picture url by "Right click on image -> Copy Image address".

Hope it works!

For people wondering how to do it from scratch from Gt5:
(this is how I do it - does not require any hard transfer - all done through internet)

First, you take the photo in GT5, and save it obviously.

Then you go into your GT5 photo album, view the photo, & set the photo to "Share with friends", so it's online.

Then you can go to the Gran Turismo web site & sign into it with your PSN acct.
for example
https://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5/user/YOUR-PSN-NAME-HERE/
(I'm in the U.S. You can get to this just by going to http://www.gran-turismo.com/)

On your GT5 user screen, on the left side is your photo album. Click on the photo.
On the bottom of the photo pop up there's a file/page icon like a little square. Click on that, and the photo itself will pop up in its own browser window/tab.

From there, right click (windows users), (or I believe it's ctrl + click for mac users?), on the image in the browser. And choose save.
Save it to a location that you're going to find it in of course!

Then you have to upload it somewhere. Like if you have an online photo album acct of some sort.
(Like link provided above : https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=116825 )

OR, very nicely, GTP forum has a nifty little online photo album feature.
When you're on the forum, you click on your username in the box up on the top right of the forum content.
Then, when on your profile page, on the left side there's a link "Show Albums", click on that.
Add an album, and follow the instructions on how to upload your photo.
(You may need to RESIZE the photo before uploading. I have Photoshop, but I'm pretty sure most computers come with some sort of image editing programme that's capable of resizing pictures. Choose to resize by pixels, and just make sure the width is less than 800, and that the ratio is kept.)

Then, once you have a photo uploaded, click on the photo, and the page will give you under the photo, the URL for the photo which you can copy.

Copy that URL, and then you can use the image button at the top bar of the compose forum message window, to insert the photo into a forum post.
Or just use the "tags" described in one of the above posts.

Hope this helps, I'm probably not the best at describing this.
But it's a way you can do this all without having to use something to actually transfer the photo from your PS3's hard drive to your computer's hard drive, and without having anywhere online to put your photos - all you need is for your PS3 to be connected to the internet, and have a GTP account on the forum.

Great! The screen shots helped tremendously, because just loading your .jpg files from a photo hosting site didn't do it. I guess it had to be in a different format.

The issue I have now is why I can't see all photos. Some just show up as a red x. Is there a setting I need to adjust on my machine? Internet Options? I can see some photos in threads, but not all. This goes for all user's photos, not just my own.

Hi a bit different I am starting a series online and i have made a league table in excel but how do i put it on my thread plus im having the same problem putting a logo i made aswell can anyone help please

What part of the lazy grammar infraction did you not understand?

You can do better than that.

This could be caused by internet security settings. When I'm on my work computer a lot of pictures that people post show up as x's because they are on sites that the company blocks us from accessing.

Whats wrong with it now?

You will post all messages in English.
You will not use “textspeak” (“r”, “u”, “plz”, etc.) in your messages. Decent grammar is expected at all times, including proper usage of capital letters.

Hi, a bit different. I am starting a series online and I have made a league table in Excel but how do I put it on my thread? Plus I'm having the same problem putting a logo I made as_well, can anyone help please?

No doubt this post will be my fault too.

Fair enough. Can you help with the question I am asking?

I'd love to, but given your track record of actually reading what moderators have written, I think I won't bother wasting my time.

Watermelonpunch has posted very lengthy instructions on how to post images in this very thread.

I have tried that but it wont work! It keeps saying invalid file.
Sorry for being a little bit dyslexic. And I thought you was'nt allowed capital letters in the middle of a sentence? Anyway I am trying to upload a picture from a word document.

If you're trying to post a .doc file from Word, there's your problem. An image file must be a png, jpg, gif, etc for it to work. Re-save the image as one of those and try again.

Completely off the intended thread subject but if there is a proper name (ie Bob), cities, companies, etc. in the middle of a sentence, they're capitalized.

Thankyou Tb.But I have tried a jpg and it was the same problem.

What is the address (URL) of the image you are trying to post, Gik?

Firstly I will appologise now if my grammer is wrong.
I dont know how to find out the url.
I started by getting image from google then i put it in word so I can put the text in,I have tried attaching it to the thread,But it says invalid file,I then re-saved it in a jpg file and had the same problem,I have tried cutting and pasting it on there but can only get the text.
I am also trying to put a drivers table on which i made in Excel but have the same problem! im lost.
Sorry again for my grammer as I see it is a big issue on this site.

A Word file is a document (.doc) file and will not be recognised as an image even if you change the extension to .jpg. An Excel file is (probably) an Excel Spreadsheet (.xls) file and will not be recognised as an image even if you change the extension to .jpg.

You need to edit the image in an image application and save it as an image file. Applications that save files as images include Paint/Paint.net.

Oh, hadn't seen this thread in a little while, until I came back to get the link to give to someone...

I have tried that but it wont work! It keeps saying invalid file.

I'm not sure of the context of the above mentioned "invalid file" issue.

But I know sometimes this happens if you're viewing the photo on the GT5 web site, and click on that little square thing to have it pop up in another tab/window... And then if you try to "drag & drop" the photo from the browser to the photo editing programme... it will say "invalid file".

But so don't do that.

Best to use the SAVE AS, to save the file (from the browser), and then use the OPEN function in the image editor programme, to open the photo file you've saved to your hard drive.
