I like the SLR Mclaren. I like it's purposeful, F1 inspired looks and it's growling, thunderous, engine sound. Plus, it's a Mclaren, so it gets extra kudos for that.
 
I'll share it if u want so u can try it out.
 
It sucks. Drives like an overweight slob.

Not bad, but there are better McLaren alternatives... both of them. I blame Mercedes.
 
i acctually saw one of these on my way to school this morning. It had rained earlier so when i pulled up behind it it was kicking up to much water to tell what it was at first but when i realized it was a SLR and not your everyday CLK/SLK i was like "WTF THATS A SLR MACLARENENENENNN!!!!" (yes thats what i acctually said so dont fix my spelling). up untill this point i have only ever seen pictures of this car or seen it in videogames and i never really liked it, but after seeing it today i must say that videogames really dont do it justice. in real life this car is absolutly b-e-a-utiful.
 
I really like this car. Mine is completly stock. It is quick and I find it handles quite well, brakes arent bad but I think the real thing has better brakes. Like all cars its not perfect. Its a good looking car but from some angles it looks a bit weird. The car is also prone to a bit of understeer so you have to be careful and finally I dont know if its me but when cornering the car will sometimes randomly flip over. I lost some races because of that >_< Overall though its a good car <3

Some lucky lady near me convinced her husband to take back her new Cadillac XLR-V because it was drawing too much attention, so she got a McLaren SLR instead.

Few years later, sold it at Barrett-Jackson to pay off the new purple one they bought.

Every few days, I see them drive by, and you're right, in person it's sex on wheels.
 
I like it both in GT5 and in real life, although I don't use it that much..
 
The SLR is one of my all time favorite HyperCars. It's so freaken fast and amazingly good looking. The sound though sounds like a spitfire.

OT: I'm not keen on the look of the Merc but it drives beautifully! :D
 
It looks great, performance is okay for a supercar. It's no McLaren F1 in this regard that's for sure.
 
It's a really great car, plus, it also looks good.
The only problem i have with it is that it feels heavy.
 
It's alright, really. Nothing in my opinion makes it amazing or a great car. It's just alright.

That is kind of one of those things we expect a car NOT to do, kind of like "catch on fire for no reason". Sort of a drawback.
 
I have an SLR McLaren for one reason... Headphones, turn the amp up loud and mid range acceleration..... possibly the best sounding car in the game. Shame its so bad in other areas.
 
Its my drift car XD. Not everyones use for it but i love it. 900 bhp and i thought "hmm if i race that i'l probably burn up the tyres.... So why not do it on purpose?"
Took a little bit of setup time but i love it!! Matte black with matte black rims :) and smoke everywhere!!!!

Na I got the rollover trophy long before I bought the SLR =P. I had it happen multiple times. Sometimes when entering or exiting a corner hard the car will randomly flip over :dunce: Maybe its because I damaged it earlier on, I am not sure. Its the only car I have that can do this :crazy:

I hated the thing in GT4, it felt horrible, it understeered so much it probably even understeered when it wasn't moving and even with that air brake it just would not stop. I bought one in GT5 because I was on a spending/collecting spree and decided to take it out on my home-made 'touge' circuit (just loads of hairpins on a narrow road, basically) for a laugh, to see how bad it was, and I was shocked to say the least. Maybe it's because I've learnt how to drive (in real life) since GT4, maybe it's because I've learnt a lot more about driving fast in theory, from watching loads of motorsport, Best Motoring and playing more racing sims, or maybe it's because it's actually better than it was in GT4, but I thought it was amazing. Not race winning amazing, though, just great fun to drive, in the same way that I'd never try to win races in the TVR Speed 12 but it's incredible just to drive.

Definitely heavy, though.
 
I despised this car in GT4, but for some reason, have fallen in love with it now :dopey:

The handling is great for such a heavy vehicle, good traction and great speed. Not to mention that engine sound is great:tup:

Although it seems to be missing the distinctive engine whine from the real SLR:
 
I love the '03 model but recently realised that the 19 wheel inch is Premium. *facepalm*
 
Like the front but hate the back. Overall I like it especially the engine noise
 
Glad to see that other are having same problems as my SLR! The car may be bouncy but once you control it, it blows evrything away!!! :D
 
i like the looks and it dies go like stink! im not sure how it goes round corners because i havnt used it in a while!
 
I allways liked the car since GT4 but after I did 2 laps in 3 different SLR McLaren (the normal, the 722 and the awesome Stirling Moss Edition) with Lewis Hamilton (yes I am a lucky SOB go to my profile and see pic) at Estoril in my birthday that car became my favorite road car ever and in GT5 it's very good aswell.
