This is the most fun I've had since I started playing GT5, at least in the seasonals or A-spec.
The original challenge was to see how low you could go on PP to beat the Super GT Nurburg race.
But now I'm switching it around. The challenge is to beat the race with 540PP with the Nismo Z not in the race. It might seem that taking out the fastest car would make the race less fun but it actually makes it more fun because you have a slower car and you have to plan every pass. In most seasonals there is a rabbit and a bunch of other cars that don't matter except to blow by them on the first lap.
In this challenge you will be passing cars every lap. You'll be drafting everybody you can to make up time because you're giving away 100 horsepower.
I can do this consistently, winning by less than a second most of the time. I'm probably a top 20% driver, pretty good, not great.
540PP
Race Hard tires only.
No SRF.
No turbo upgrades.
Xanavi Nismo Z is not in the race.
If you tune the car down to 540PP before you enter the seasonal the Nismo Z should not be there. One of the '08 GT-Rs should be on the pole.
Any car is fine.
Reduce Performance Points by reducing aero, adding weight, or reducing power.
Transmission and suspension tuning OK.
If you want to use my setup here it is:
'06 NSX Super GT
Aero 20/35
Weight stock
Horsepower 370
Transmission 174
Height -5/-5
Spring 13.8/14.8
Damp E 8/8
Damp C 8/8
AR Bars 6/6
Camber 1.2/0.5
Toe 0.10/0.20
