Ever since the new update the online rooms have not being up to scratch .

Rooms are stalling and people finding it hard leave rooms and going to pick a new car out of your garage takes up to 1 or 2 minutes sometimes .

The only way you can return to play your game is to quit your game and start it back up .

That can result in loss of data .

Post a comment if you and your friends have being having the same problems.

Yes, I have noticed this as well. Some nights it's bad enough to where I just give up. If I do finally find a room where I don't get disconnected, no one in that room can drive.

Does anyone notice any difference if the mics are dissabled?

Yea last night that happen to me,i tried to leave room,it got stuck,i signed out still stuck, had to quit game to get back on.

Yea I have been experiencing this as well, that's why I always make sure I clear my cache before going online. I know that it's not only the cache that's causing the problems but the way I see it is it makes a better chance of not having problems. Hopefully the next patch/update will be soon and also hope it will fix this, maybe this has something to do with GT5p servers still being up, maybe not, who knows?

Ugh, I'm getting all of these problems, too, which sucks because I spend 90% of my time online while I'm playing. It's really pissing me off!

I've only been online since after the 1.10 update, I never did before.

I think the online performance is sub-par. The only bearable event is the shuffle races because it reduces the chance of freezing and I don't get disconnected as I would usually when changing car.

It's good to know it's not just me. I've clearing the cache, resetting my router, rebooting my PS3 and none of that fixed the problems. It's frustrating when I go tune my car and it takes 30-40 seconds to get out of the screen only to find the race already started.

I get disconnected from nearly every room I enter now. There's the occasional one I don't and one day I didn't seem to have problems but other than that day it's been a terrible experience getting kicked from the server within a minute nearly every time, or being denied access to some rooms in the first place.

Well, twice since 1.10 the room has completely frozen after a race and the GT logo comes up in the corner. Have to reboot to solve it. Never done that before.

But for me, 1.10 has seen a reduction in the black screen of death problems. Although of course it's hard to know how much of it is to with the updates themselves or the status of everyone's connection.

Last night as I was getting ready to go to bed, I was in an online room and I clicked the exit button. I then went to the kitchen for a drink of water, took my meds, and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. This probably took about 5 minutes at the most. I went back into my room to see that the game had not exited the room yet. The cursor was on the exit button, but I couldn't do a thing. So, I went on here for a couple of minutes, turned off my computer, and the game still hadn't done a thing. The game hadn't frozen either. It was still showing all of the people driving on the track, as well as all of the sounds, and the music. Annoyed, I turned off the system and went to bed. Some of Gran Turismo's online flaws and fails are just embarrassing. :indiff:

Yes everything listed in OP happens to me. Having over 1100+ cars takes so long to load now. I quit the lobby It never leaves.

A number of threads on this, not sure of the problem, but it has been in relation to the last update or sony PS3 update. It's like system memory has been filled and no information can be processed unless it's at a trickle. It's like what happens when a computer runs out of memory.

I've been playing regularly for the last few months with the same bunch of players.

1.10 has absolutely, without a doubt, made online racing far more problematic.

This is the ONLY post in this whole forum that has any relation to the truth pertaining to the 3.66 update for ps3 and the 1.10 update for gt5. Something you may want to check as well is the "media server" function on the XMB.. turn it off while playing unless you are just copying tunes for a mac (thats right i said it) on you network to your ps3. Then Import tunes to your game with the media server off. Keep your playlists smallish (30 songs max). Oh and empty your hd as much as you can... OR if you are completely neurotic like me go buy an ssd, format it for PS3 and plop it in and... poof! not more hanging.
Which basically proves that the post quoted above is absolutely correct. Last thing turn chat down to low!!!! its a bandwidth hog and ram hog and general nuisance... Your online gaming willl be much better without it.

I haven't disconnected since 1.10, but I did disconnect soon after 1.06 but it seems like 1.07 fixed that.

I was having these problems too. I resorted to going from wi-fi to plugging my PS3 into my router. This seems to have more or less solved to problem.

I was getting ready to give up on GT5, online at least.

Totally agree Mr poopy, its happening all the time lately and is becoming really frustrating. Lets hope the updates keep coming and these black screen problems disappear from GT5 just like my 'friend' T1GGER4KAT has.....:sly:

THIS + the worst ever AI in a racing game = game killer bugs.
