The Inaugural Formula Gran Turismo World Series​


Race Format:
-Races will be held in my lounge.
-The races will be set to last one hour.
-The lobby will open roughly an hour before the race begins.
-The track will be reset 20 minutes before the race for qualifying.

Race Time:
-Races will be held on Sundays
-The lobby will open at 7PM BST (2PM East Coast USA). At 7.40PM BST (2.40PM East Coast USA), the track will be reset. At 8PM (3PM East Coast USA) the race will start.

Season One Calender:

Round 1 - Grand Valley Speedway
Round 2 - Le Mans
Round 3 - Indianapolis 500
Round 4 - Circuit de Monaco
Round 5 - Autumn Ring
Round 6 - Nurburgring GP-Strecke
Round 7 - Circuit de Spa Francorchamps
Round 8 - Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Round 9 - Special Stage Route 5
Round 10 - Suzuka Circuit

Regulations:
-TCS is banned
-ASM is banned
-Active Steering is banned
-Skid Recoverey Force is banned
-Driving Line is banned
-Horsepower will be limited to 850 BHP
-Tyres will be unrestricted

Lobby Settings:
-Laps will vary so race last one hour.
-Pit stops are not mandatory but to maintain speed, they will be a certainty. There are no prizes for not pitting. Only for winning.
-Grip reduction on wet track/track edge will be set to real.
-Damage will be set to light.
-Penalties will be set to off.
-Boost will be set to off.
-Slipstream will be set to weak.
-Visual damage will be set to off since the FGTs have such stupid damage modeling.

Points:
The points system will follow the official Formula 1 points system:

First - 25 points
Second - 18 points
Third - 15 points
Fourth - 12 points
Fifth - 10 points
Sixth - 8 points
Seventh - 6 points
Eighth - 4 points
Ninth - 2 points
Tenth - 1 point

Teams:
-To join a team, you must have the correct livery FGT for that team. (See below)
-If you do not have any of these colours then you can race as a reserve driver.
-If you have a livery which matches a full team and have no others, then you will also be added to the reserve teams.
-Their are eight teams competing to walk away from Japan as constructors champion. These teams are:

-Scuderia Ferrari
-Sauber
-Force India
-Mercedes GP
-Williams
-Renault
-Lotus
-PD Motorsports

Click the team name to see the car livery.
The Ferrari FGT must be the dark red colour, not pale red.

On track rules:
-The GTP OLR is expected to be followed for the races.
-Penalties will be awarded after the race for drivers who are judged to of caused avoidable incidents.

Nothing hardcore left about the FGT after the update, it drives like the F10 used to. Used to be a snarling beast, but oh well. If the timings ever change to something a little later in the night I would be quite interested. Good luck with this series:tup:
 
This is a signup thread. If you don't wish to sign up then move on to something else. How the host wishes to run his event is entirely up to him and has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else.

If you don't want to sign up, stay out.
 
Jamman, I signer you up as Ferrari. Is that ok or are you a secret and massive fan of Lotus?

I have a blue car right now, got my eye out for the Lotus coloured one though.
 
I drive the FGT with ABS off and will ask everyone to drive with it off but sadly it isn't possible to enforce for a full race which is why it is allowed. One day I hope PD allow us to ban the assist which helps us all the most, usually without us noticing.

I'll put you down as Williams at the moment then.

Well, if you get everyone onto the track, you can scroll over their names to see if they have it off or not. But, it might put off more casual drivers.

Also, any chance of having a warm up lap? Like in real F1 where they go and warm their tyres up for a lap, get a feel for the grip levels and then line up on the grid. This would be great as these cars are scary with no heat in the tyres.

Also also, I have a HD PVR and I would like to make race edits of the races, like the ones on formula1.com... wondering if I would be allowed.
 
HD PVR? Race edits? Your in! Your in! Your in! Now we just need to get another 13 drivers.

In regards to a pace lap, we will give it a test at the pre-season. If it goes down well, then we will use it full time. If it doesn't go down so well then we'll give it a miss for the first season. It is going to be quite hard though to get everyone lined up correctly. We can easily go back after the race and disqualify anyone that false starts or add a time penalty if they haven't gained a massive advantage.
 
I use the pace lap in a series I run. We haven't actually started yet, but the pace lap has worked so far in the pre-season tests.

Yeah I'm up for testing right now. Haven't worked out the best track to test the cars overall.

Are you getting the DLC when it releases? As you can see, Spa is going to be on the calender

Hell yeah. I am going on holiday thursday so I am not sure if I will buy it on release, but I will have it in just over a weeks time at latest.

My series will be using it too. Just a brilliant track.

well you can join Jamm in Ferrari. If the green one is light and dark green with alot of white then that is Force India and you can drive for them
