Sweet is right, what a deal. For those sitting on the fence or thinking about purchasing another brand this is a better deal for quality racing gear.
 
I just placed my order. It came to $610 after $27 non member surcharge and 31 in taxes. Still $40 less than I paid yesterday for just the T500RS. Illinois sales taxes are killer at 8.25%.
 
Saw this one on Thanksgiving evening and ordered immediately. That deal really made me appreciate my Costco membership. It's already shipped!
 
BTW, has anyone tried the T500rs with NFS Shift2? Was wondering if the 1.02 patch for that game incl. any ffb support for this wheel.

Wow, that's crazy, out of all the places that sells Thrustmaster products, it's Costco that offers the first bundle. They're not even really known as an electronics store. See how many stores follow this bundle trend, and I'm wondering if they'll ever officially have new packaging so the shifter is not a separate item.

Yes, US/Canada only... it is a popular chain of warehouse stores which sells everyday food/household items in bulk packages. You're required to purchase an annual membership to be able to shop there. They also carry electronics but don't have a wide selection, so I'm surprised about this. I looked it up on the Canadian site but they're not offering the bundle here, so US only.

Costco have 22 outlets across the UK, no other outlets in the rest of the Europe. Not sure if they have the thrustmaster bundle deal this side of the Pond. :)

My set arrived yesterday, and it does look quite nice. Basically, the shifter was like a bonus with this package. I do wish I had a PC though so it could be put to more use. Here's to hoping Codemasters would drop some code on the PS3 version of Dirt3 to fully support the TH8.

Did you know that deal doesn't include the TH8 Shifter? The wheel+shifter bundle is only at Costo at the moment. And it is $549 with free shipping + tax. Just an FYI if you weren't aware.

**WildRun put up a link to a sale on amazon, but it isn't the bundle package which was the original news flash.

Have you been using yours thenextsketch? What do you think of it? Mine is a Christmas present from my wife and we are waiting until our Christmas 2 weekends from now before I can check it out.

I love it. I have tried it with GT5 (of course), F12011, Dirt3 each of these is the PS3 version. I have it set up on the Rennsport Wheel Stand V2. It came with a shifter attachment plate and it works great if you rotate the unit slightly for clearance from the wheel housing.
GT5 has to most refined feel I think of these 3. Take one of those DLC GT500 cars around a road course like SPA and you will be impressed. Takes a minute to get used to the fixed paddles if you're used to them rotating with the wheel but no biggie. The shifter is almost like a real car with its feeling - really nice as well. For me, though the pedals are spaced a bit too far apart and benefit from shifting the brake and clutch over for smoother downshifting under braking.
F12011 has a really strong FFB and weighting. I put the ranges at FFB variables at 20% and it is still quite robust without being an arm wrestling contest:)
Dirt 3 is best with a wheel for sure - just wish the sequential gearbox would work on the PS3 version. So far only PC.
Overall, I'm really happy. And I feel no worries if something goes wrong with the unit because Costco has a 90day in-store return policy! No video explanation or long email debate required:sly:

yes I am aware it did not include the shifter.
 
Now we only need a handbrake from Thrustmaster and the set is complete. Although I doubt that will happen since the shifter can be used as a handbrake on pc only already.

Check the compatibility list on the Thrustmaster support site. Only H-box unfortunately. The games that work are... GT5 and well just GT5. Unless the list has been updated since release.
