Why do people want a handbrake? Don't think I've ever noticed a pro-Road racer use a handbrake

(please correct me if I'm mistaken by all means!!!!)

Pro's in Drifting and Rally use a hand brake.

What moes said. Although you don't need a handbrake to drift in rally sports or drifting sports. I don't actually use the handbrake in GT5 at all due to the fact that I hate to push the button on the T500 wheel when turning it at the same time. I always end up messing up if I do. Having a dedicated progressive handbrake that I can pull up next to the chair (like it's in the center console of any road car) then I might use it and keep my freedom of movement on the wheel. So I hope the CSH from Fanatec will be such a handbrake, and maybe TM will come with one too.

Btw thanks above Logi, etc. Forgot I had my handbrake mapped to my Clutch in Dirt 3 on the T500rs. Never got very good at all that gymkhanna stuff. I never really watch Rally much on TV tho. I do have a championship recorded I'll check it out and see how they use the handbrake.

Myself tho I don't rally enough to justify the expense. But maybe if the price was reasonable and I built a cockpit I'd be down

Hrm making a handbrake out of the clutch. Make a new long clutch cable, reverse polarity. Make a mounting system for the clutch pedal from your CSPs and attach a home made handbrake lever to said clutch. Also attach the spring in a way it pulls instead of pushes. Then make new spacers so the remaining pedals stay in place and your done.
