FT86 II Question

Q: In order to obtain this car, does one buy two of the same DLC from the Oct batch? or any two DLCs from the Oct batch? (assuming one does not buy the complete pack)

I bought the complete pack. Then later bought just a extra paint pack and I received the car with the new update.

Not necessary. If you bought the complete pack back in October, just buy the cheapest of the packs now (paint pack - $1.99), get in the game, install it on the main menu and, as soon as you enter GT Life you'll receive a ticket for it.

I did it. Got the Concept II immediately.

Okay.. so it seems the majority of the community has bought the complete pack.
I have not. But want to get the 86 II. Can I buy the Spa track and the Racing car pack for example, to get the 86 II? or do I have to get two of the same things like paint pack twice?

I'm waiting to see if buying the new DLC pack qualifies me for the Concept II.

On a strangely related note, I went into the PS Store last night looking for the Family Unlock download and when I went to the Gran Turismo stuff, it showed me as only having downloaded one of the packs (can't remember which one), but I bought the complete pack for DLC #1.

Of course, the family unlock was not yet available, but I found it strange that the little blue shopping bag wasn't next to the complete pack, but only one of the smaller packs. :confused:

I'm a little concerned here I'm gonna buy the paint pack and the game is gonna tell me its already installed because I bought the full pack in oct.

Not saying that won't give me the car, but I wouldn't mind the extra paint

The car in question is the FT-86 Concept II, not the '12 one that everybody received with V2.02.

I also bought only the Complete Pack and have not received this Concept II car, which I believe is a '11.

I bought the complete pack back in October, and I didn't receive the Concept II today when I logged on after the update. I went to the PS store and bought the paint pack, and when I logged back onto GT5, I got the Concept II.

To the original poster. I think you have to buy 2 of the same pack. The Concept II is a gift for people that bought duplicate DLC items for multiple accounts. Therefore, since I bought the complete pack, which included the paint, when I bought duplicate paints, I got the gift.

Everyone who updated to V2.02 received the 86 GT '12, however, only those who bought more than one of the first DLC packs is getting the FT86 Concept II '11.

If you are saying that you received the FT86 Concept II '11 for just buying the Complete Pack once and nothing else from the 1st DLC, then I would have to think that either you are mistaken about the car that you received, bought more than 1 DLC pack from the 1st DLC or that you are the only one who has gotten it that way.

People seem to get confused about the two cars, so I think some images can help...

1. Everyone that downloaded the recent update (2.02) got the Toyota 86 GT 2012:

2. In October, during the problems with the launch of the first DLC, many users bought the packs twice (or even more). For those users, Kaz promised a little "gift" in December. This is their gift: the Toyota FT-86 II Concept 2011.

So, if you bought just one pack in October and want to get the FT-86 II Concept, you must make another purchase at the PS Store. Right now, people are confused if tomorrow's pack will release the FT-86 II or if it's available only with another pack from October.

I bought another paint pack from October and received my FT-86 II...

I think I'll buy the FT-86 II and safe money until the April DLC, and then buy April and Februrari, Sony has poor money buying for the PS Store, I wish I could just buy a 5 euro card or some other way, but 10 euro a month...

That's exactly what happened. Many people (like me) bought the complete pack (you can see it at your "Transaction History" on your PS3) but, at the PS Store, the red bag indicates we bought just the track pack (Spa). And, right after buying the pack, couldn't activate it on GT5.

So, thanks to this bug, many people tried again (and again) to buy the pack, had some problems with Sony's support but got their refund.

The FT-86 II Concept is an apology and a small token of gratitude from Kaz.

My brother just bought the track and car pack and got the bonus FT86 whereas I purchased the complete pack and then had to buy a paint pack to qualify. :-)
PD, rewarding those who are cheap. Lol.

Because all packs can be redownloaded to restock the inventory. All but the track pack of course for obvious reasons.

Ok, I've got a question concerning the Concept car. I have 6 different accounts (same PS3) I recieved the car on my main, but not on any of my other accounts. I went and bought two paint packs, wanted them anyway, on one of my other accounts and no Concept car. Question, can you only recieve this car once per PS3 or is there a way to get it on your other accounts.
