Season 1 Thread
Season 2 v1 Thread

The series was originally created and run by Silver-Sylph. Scheduling conflicts led to the cancellation of the series early in the second season. He has given me permission to continue the series.

Cars:

Honda CR-Z TC - 190HP / 910kg
Toyota Prius TC - 193HP / 1035kg

Preliminary Schedule:

1. Deep Forest Raceway
2. Spa Francorchamps
3. Castlehill Raceway Park
4. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
5. Suzuka Circuit
6. Circuito de Madrid (Reverse)
7. Nurburgring GP/D
8. Cape Ring South
9. Daytona Road Course

Race Format:

Two races per round. First race will have a rolling start, the second will have a standing start with a reversed grid. Race lengths are TBD. There is one mandatory pit stop in both races.

Good to see the thread up! Looking forward to some close door to door action!

Edit: I was wondering, since we are droping the mandatory stop format what if you turn tire wear and fuel consumption off? Then the batteries shouldn't wear out and the car's performance can be truly adjusted.

Car choice: Honda CR-Z TC #68
Available for both sessions.

I might run a few races here and there, depends on my schedule. I still gotta buy the dlc lol.

Interested in this schedule permitting... I will run the CR-Z TC #83. As of right now, I should be able to attend the test session tomorrow.

Lancer you should switch Nurburgring with Deep Forest since the last 2 seasons we opened with Deep Forest. So it would be like a tradition.

^Done.

I've decided to drop the Golf completely, making it hybrid vs. hybrid. This means you'll have to have the DLC to compete. I'll have something for those who can't get it that will either run with or right after ITCC's season ends.

Room is up:

1472-6118-4259-7710-1277

Room Closed. The two cars seem to be near even at most tracks, the only exception being Spa, where the Prius has a 4 second per lap advantage. The CR-Z's battery also dies a lot faster, even if Tire Wear / Fuel is set to off. I'll figure it out before racing begins.

You could try using separate classes with the old 3 cars and the 2 new ones. The Gas Class and the Hybrid class but that would only be if there were enough people.

these cars arent that fun to drive....why these cars?

The CR-Z is plenty fun to drive. Lancer, obviously it's your series, but here's my 2 cents. Have 2 classes: Hybrid and Gas, Hybrids near 250 HP, 1035 kg. Gas near 275 HP, 985 kg. Have the DLC cars in the Hybrid class, the Golf and Integra in the gas class. Again, that's just my 2 cents.

im just thinking of the fun n competition of the previous seasons....its the most fun ive had on gt5....but its not my series...but hybrid racing...not my idea of fun...450 pp n up...leggo

Their pp's at that spec are pretty close, 455-490 depending on aero.

^Both cars are at about 480PP, which was close to what the Integra had in the first two seasons.

If you brought back gas class then i wouldnt bring back the Integra. Everyone would want it and it would turn into a spec series.

@ the horse power n weight u have them listed they are 480pp?

The Prius is at 476 or so, the CR-Z has about 10 less, but they're even on the track.

^If I do that, I absolutely won't. It either dominates or gets dominated.

Supr u kno I was killing people in the civic....I will even drive the golf if I have to but even if everyone wants to drive the dc5 there is onli a limited amount of dc5 allowed so people would drive wats left

Do u mean to tell me that I have to buy the race car pack in order to compete in the itcc?

Guys, what about a RWD or AWD class?
That way we'd have more variety and people would'nt need to buy the DLC?

I was thinking about a second series using road cars that wouldn't require the DLC, although I could work on a second class if necessary.

I still don't understand y we don't use the old cars from the previous season.....its simplier, the cars have been tested to be competitive......y not have a good season then change layout for next season

I've added a poll to the OP. There are two questions, so read carefully before voting.
