Introduction
GTMSA has decided to revamp their ITCC series for GT5. I, cnd01, have stepped in to host this series. The ITCC uses 3 cars, 2 front engine, front wheel drive; and 1 front engine, rear wheel drive car.

Series Information
  • Tier: 1 tier
  • Qualifying Format: Pre-Race hotlaps
  • Race Format: Single race
  • Race Distance: Around 30 minutes

We race on Saturdays at 3:15 p.m. Eastern time. That's 8:15 p.m. GMT. Qualifying starts at 3:00 p.m.

I will do a pre-qualifying spec check. For the Miata, I will do a horsepower and weight check for the Miata in addition to a PP check. The civic and Golf have unlimited aero adjusting, so they will have just a PP check before I start qualifying. Once you blue up for qualifying, there will be NO returning to the garage to change setup. Violation to this rule will cost you your qualifying spot. On the second violation, you will receive a 5 point penalty. Any further violations of the rule will disqualify you for that round.

Racing Regulations
  • GTP OLR's
  • In the event that the below rules conflict with the OLR, assume the rules below to be correct.
  • Cars must be run to the specifications given by GTMSA.
  • You must keep 4 tires on hard surfaces and 2 tires between the white lines on the edges of the track. In corners you may have two tires on rumble strips as long as all 4 tires remain on a hard surface.
  • You may change lanes twice to defend your position.

Points
1st: 10
2nd: 6
3rd: 4
4th: 3
5th: 2
6th: 1

Success Ballast
1st: 15 kg
2nd: 10 kg
3rd: 5 kg

Incidents
  • To report an incident, send a PM on GTPlanet to myself, cnd01, or another GTMSA official, stating the race, lap, turn, and drivers involved.
  • Do NOT use the in-game chat function to talk about incidents.
  • GTMSA officials will review the incident and apply penalties if necessary.
  • If you are deemed to be at fault for an incident, the following penalties will be applied depending on the severity of the incident:
    1. First Offense: Warning
    2. Second Offense: 30 Second Penalty added to finish
    3. Third Offense: Disqualification from one race
    4. Fourth Offense: Suspension for remainder of season
  • Stewards may also impose other penalties based on their discretion.

Interested in Civic. Also, I'm in the top two in Conti Tire championship ==> We'll see how Friday goes, but, that's easily a Tier 2 slot.

I made it a tier 1 GTMSA event. I'm really looking forward to racing this.

Some possible changes: We will experiment with RH tires due to the new update. There will be some fine tuning to some of the specs. Those specs aren't final.

....about time!....

Ill drive the miata. Not sure what tier I am to be frank, but at worst ill be 2nd in conti points, so I'm in the same boat as Mel.

I FINALLY get to race this miata!

I think RH tires will be really fun. It'll give us a bit more grip, and we'll be able to pass better :)

I want to have specs finalized before I open sign ups, but I will give both of you first dibs at your respective cars once sign ups are open.

This works. I'm just hoping not to get stuck in that goofy Miata. The downforce kills the natural balance in the handling, and I don't like it. FF for life!

It's not like you've had 3,000 months to spec 3 cars...

I'm thinking we run some preseason races sometime soon to get the specs figured out.

Of course. But we need more than 3 people..

Once I saw high speed ring- I was signing up.

I am considering running HSR-weather change for some added challenge to the finale. I still haven't heard a peep on the update's effects on rain tire wear.

Hello FF. You're still awesome.

Anyways, I'll help if I'm needed.

Count me in, most likely with the Golf.

And GTMSA's not using the tier system anymore. ;)

SIGNUPS ARE OPEN :). I know that four people have already shown interest. Let's see if we can get 10+ people 👍

I will go ahead and give my entry:

Mazda Roadster TC - 10 - cnd01 - Dark Blue - Orange

Any time or day of the week in mind yet? The Miata has aero limited but not the other two? How are you going to enforce that?

Tentatively Saturday afternoons. I will put a poll up for what day of the week suits people. 👍

Maybe I missed it, but when is this series running?

Edit: Nevermind, I see you answered that question...

PP limit is the only way. Even then, you could just limit your power and add more aero.

So, you can't really enforce it...

In the mean time, ill sign up (I thought we had decided it was on Saturdays....)

You know my info, colors are white with black wheels. No idea what my number is...

I voted for Monday, as I prefer to race during the week, it is tough for me to show up on a consistent basis if the race is held on Saturday.

For the car it is between the Civic and the Miata for me. I'm thinking I would be a big quicker with the Miata, but would really like to drive the Civic... As for the tires, I would prefer sticking to the Sports Softs, but as long as it doesn't go beyond RH, I am ok with it. 👍

I will add you right now 👍 Let me know when you decide on what number.

I'm very tempted to go with RH tires because of the update. Let me know if you decide which car man 👍

Entry #2 goes to you 👍

I'm guessing you want #15?

Anyone else can feel free to sign up 👍

Well, shoot, I missed that for the first time... Um, yeah, #15 or #51.

My GT5 cars are normally #15, but, my real car is #51. ;)

Edit: I'll have to work on Thursdays. Monday's best.

I will keep your number at 15, but if you show up in #51 it shouldn't make a difference. 👍

Looks like either Monday or Saturday will be race day. I voted Saturday.

Psst! Saturdays before Rolex would be awesome!!

cnd01
You read my mind 👍 The Saturday time slot will be at 4 p.m. Eastern time if we end up going with Saturday.

Good. 4-6?

4-5:45 would be awesome :) that way we could have a 15 minute breather before a hour of Rolex qualifying and practice. Then the race!

Yea I will wait until we get a few more signups then I will close the poll. From the poll results so far, Saturday will be the best day. IF we start on Saturday, qualifying will start at 4 p.m. I will have the open lobby open about half an hour early for some final practice. I will have a room reset at 4 p.m. eastern. From there, a 10 minute qualifying session will take place. I will call time, but you can finish your lap. T&S should be working after the room reset, so that will be the order. Everyone will get in their pit stall for race start. There will be no pace lap. When the game's countdown ends, the race begins unless I call the start off because the order is wrong. If the order is wrong, we will do a manual grid in the race. I will call a time on the race timer for everyone to start at then.
