Do you think the Scion FR-S will be added to GT5 in the future?

Well Scion said it would be released as DLC on Twitter. Maybe they didn't have enough time to code in the new Scion icon in the new car dealer to make it into this DLC batch. Adding cars to the dealers did seem to be a bit of a afterthought.

They did it with GT5P though didn't they?

I rather have the Subaru BRZ as it looks slightly different (and better in my opinion). Isn't the Scion FRS exactly the same as the Toyota 86, except for the badge?

Don't get why they're not added together anyway seeing as they're so similar.

Basically. On the GT 86/86 GT, there is a few chrome bits, which has been deleted on the FR-S. So basically the FR-S is kinda like the 'base' model/version.

Yeah I thought the car was made, perhaps a license issue with this car.

Scion already said it would be in the game though...
Maybe paid DLC for next month?

See how many suckers pay for yet another version of exactly the same car?

Well as you and I know, as long as you put GT and PD on the package it will be bought. Common sense is few and far between.

what i want to know is.....

Ok I just saw Toyota announce that the gt86 is the scion version. The scion is exactly the same car but that's what it will be called and sold under in north America. So we did get it just not the north American version.

I think the FR-S and BRZ may appear as either DLC (hopefully with a GT86 TC of some sort), or just added to the game in a free patch in the future.

The Scion FR-S I do believe will appear soon, but only after PD find a way to add Scion to the premium dealership. If they added another manufacturer button, it would look a bit weird because they'd tack it onto the end with some blank space under it. Perhaps we'll see a new layout for the new car dealer when they add the Scion FR-S? Also remember they actually advertised the Scion FR-S in the GT86 trailer on the US Gran Turismo site. So the car is there for them to use.

And PD probably didn't have time to model the BRZ's body because the main priority at the time was the GT86.

I like how it's LHD ;).

But I'd prefer a Subaru BRZ instead as well, but it would probably be a RHD as well.

As Scion is the North American version of the car, it would be left hand drive rather than right hand drive as is the GT 86. Not the same car.

I think they meant the GT86, not the FRS.

Think about it though, WTF is the point of having the same vehicle but, rebadged???

Like other's stated, I would rather much have the BRZ. Yep, it may look similar but Subaru & Toyota are 2 different co.'s...whereas Toyota & Scion are pretty much blood relatives.

Same car with a steering conversion.

Toyota actually now owns 20% of Subaru so who knows how similar the new cars will be like.

Like I and others have said the Toyota and the scion is the same car just different badges so it's pointless to have both. BRZ at least can easily be put into the Subaru dealership and is a fully new car.

When you are driving in cockpit view, there is a difference between left and right hand drives.

I believe it is an issue with the dealer icons. They might want to keep things looking tidy/organized so the Scion may only appear when two other marques make the jump from Standard or are just plain added to the game.

Here's to Cadillac joining the ranks!

I think we have a better chance of seeing the BRZ than the FR-S, as there isn't currently a Premium Scion dealership. With GT now able to buy DLC cars from the dealership, PD would have to create a Scion Premium dealership, or create a special DLC similar to the Stealths and Chromelines in that they cannot be purchased or viewed in the dealership.

I'm like to see the BRZ first, even though they're all actually the same car. At least the Subaru's styling is a little more different, as opposed to the even more minor tweaks of the FR-S.

And I for one want the RM option for the BRZ, dammit.

Or the GT300 version, come to think of it. That would be a shoo-in for a Super GT roster update.

I'm sure it could have been added in 2.02, because the car appeared completed. But like other have assumed, they probably were still trying to come up with a way to make a new car icon (Scion) fit in well with the others in the new car dealership.
