After Finishing a Route X acceleration test, share your results! Please post all the results, I will add them all to the OP for everyone to see, if there is a car already tested on the board, and yous has beaten one of the times, please add in bold letters atop the post "new record" and then Bold the time(s) that is the record beater, I will have three classes of times, Race Car, Stock & Tuned.

RULES:
Rules regarding Classes will consist of these few rules.
1. To add a time to "Stock" Class, the car must remain UN-TOUCHED.
2. An Oil Change is the only change to be done to still be a stock car.
3. Tires Must remain as they come from the dealer, if a car has CH-SS tires they must keep them.
4. Race Cars can be tuned (tires and all)
Rules Regarding Posting system.
1. When sharing a time, the post must be in this format:
Class/Make/Model(specify the year)/G-force/0-60/1-4mile/1mile.
In that order ALWAYS.

When Speed Testing using metric system it only tests to 1km length.
In the SSRX main page you can change from metric(KPH) to imperial(MPH) in the driving options. Your 0-1000m times will still be logged and don't forget to change it back when your done .

No, goto the GTLife menu, and goto Speed testing.
Then goto Acceleration Tests.
The Top Speed Testing will Not be recorded in this thread, there is a thread for that already.
 
Is it just me or is this new feature a little weird? It's cool that we now have a proper line of straight road but how is it useful to collect data on virtual cars? Or is it just fun to know how much Gforce our in-game avatar is being exposed to?

Its good for those that like to drag. They can tune there cars and actually see how fast they run in a 1/4 mile. Its not bad seeing how fast you car can go but it would be much cooler if the track had many different variations to test. Like not just a straight line but a test track almost.

I have done a stock Eagle Talon, Ferrari F10 and F2007 but I cannot get on at the moment. I'll check as soon as I get home tomorrow.
 
Hey guys, I did 4.8 sec on 0-60 time with the Aston V12 Vantage in stock. That car suppose to be able to do 4.1 sec, any tips on a good start? I know I'm rubbish

The problem is how terribly GT5 simulates tire traction and clutch slip. Throw on some stickier tires and it should run pretty close to the real life times.

Shouldn't there be a full lap time as well? Could be interesting to compare slower vehicles. I wonder how long it would take the Samba to get around.

I don't know, but I did it in the new Leaf, took me a little over 12 minutes.
 
Do they have to be full-tuned, Mitch? I've got a few moderately tuned cars that I use fairly often for my gallery's Hangar features that I've tested so far.

Might be a handy idea to add HP/kg to the results, and possibly tires, to give people a better idea of what to expect. Just a thought! 👍

Have you broken yours completely in? I can get 321.6 mph with the oil change and top speed set to ~341mph.

317.6 was on my first session. After some fine-tuning of the gearing, my new best is (you won't believe it) 321.7 mph.
 
A completely stock stat database would be awesome, if sony ever decide to release the track in the UK I will definitely do a lot of runs.

how did you do 4.3 0-60? do you just on full throttle all the way with traction control off?

I play with launch RPM, feeding the throttle in etc. Took me 10+ tries. Most were about 4.5 seconds.

That was with sports hard tires and everything. One thing I've found with other cars, is that with sports soft, you can pretty much nail the real life times from the magazine testers. So I'm guessing with sports soft on the Aston would be about 3.9 seconds. I'll try that tomorrow when I have enough money to buy the tires. >_>
