Thought I'd get this up early, so we have plenty of time to get everything hammered down before we start (which will likely be after FMSC).

After 2 successful seasons (here and https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=219952&highlight=integra+world+championship), Teggy time is coming back. Everything will likely be the same as before, but with some various changes of various significance. This is the thread where we discuss said changes, and get everything set before we open sign-ups.

(for the basic ruleset, see the threads for the first 2 seasons)

-After some testing, I am most likely going to reduce the horsepower from the standard 295 to 269. This makes the cars better to drive, and makes the tire wear much better. The spec would be:

-Oil Change
-ECU Upgrade
-Racing Air Filter
as well as all of the default stuff.

-Schedule will probably be scaled back to 6 races, with 1 drop. Possibly 2 world circuits, 2 original circuits, 1 street circuit and 1 custom circuit.

-With Wardez's new project hijacking the RX-7 timeslot, we'll likely go back to Season 1's time slot of Saturdays at 9:00 GMT / 4:00 EST. Alternatively we could take the JGTS time slot of Sundays at 1:00 EST.

-Depending on interest, we may do same day qualifying, like in season 1, if we get less than 16 people. If that's the case, I may just close entries off at 16, and put everyone else on a reserve list, but I don't like doing that.

Can't think of anything else right now. So yeah, discuss away. :)

Yeah I know, I just posted the video, for...the show ;)

No complaint at all about the format or anything else of course ;). PURE is.... PURE ;)

Guys if this champ will have the time slot of the finished JGTS i will be pleased to sign up, on saturday... i have to say no because i will be working :yuck:

I'm very interested in this. But it depends on many things. The brief period of time where I raced three series proved to be too much with the timeslots we were using, so it will depend on these various things.

But if I can find the time to do it, I'll definitely be there.

Also, SG, you'll be interested now, huh? I remember telling you about how I was racing these Integras, and you weren't too thrilled. I guess the racing bug did bite you, after all :D

Lol GV. They were different times you know. Now I want to be active racing and I think this series can be really interesting.

But overall racing with this guys like in PURE JGTS it's the most important factor it was very funny.

so, yeah MULE count with me, I will be pleased, don't trust GV he must be joking

Yeah, we won't be starting until at least next month so there's plenty of time.

Im a newbie to this site, been with GT since GT1. Havnt done much online racing, but am willing to put in the time for a good series, and im a fan on Integra's. I own on myself.

mule - should i check for car specs from last two seasons or will there be new specs for season 3? i would really like to get some practice in. Thanks.

The specs that I have posted in the first post are most likely what will be used for the season, barring any sudden lobbying by a big group of people.

Strawman Andy
Should Honda Integra VS Honda CRZ

I'd rather not, honestly. It's an Integra spec series and will stay that way.

Might be interesting for a spot race, but for this series, no thanks.

I am also interested in joining this series if it's open to the general public.

Just FYI, I've been trying all day to make a logo for this and am having issues making it look right. :indiff:

Edit: Got one but it's really simple. Just let me know if you want it.

Shoot me a PM with it and we'll go from there. If it's anything like what you've done before, it should be great.

Will this be where we post our info for entry to this series?

Are automatic transmissions considered a driving aid, and if so, are not allowed?

Next question. Are any of the veterans up for teaching a newb the ropes in how to get in the lobbies and pass along any tips for car setup? Am testing some tuning choices now, but would definitely benefit from folks that have "been there, done that."

So, no one wants to test the new guy? Would kinda' like to find out if I'm good enough to run with you folks.

Automatics are allowed DW. We're all sort of busy with different series and projects at the moment, but the IWC is getting near so a lot of people will start practicing soon.

As far as ways to find out if you're "good enough" ('cause you are already good enough in our opinions, since you're active, interested, and excited) or how fast you are compared to us then last season's qualifying times are a good benchmark.

Steve's reducing the power of the cars this season from last season, so I suggest you set your car to season 2 spec's. You can find them outlines in the season two thread here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=219952

Then go out and try out the different tracks we ran on your own. Make sure you do it online, with tire wear on. Then compare your laps to last season's qualifying times listed in the google doc qualifying registry spreadsheet we used last season here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApxiLS-TgIrqdGZLcG5MYkJCRGNvblBGTEdnVjBlYVE#gid=10

Clicking on that link sends you to the first page of the sheet, which was qualifying for Spa. You'll notice tabs at the bottom of the sheet that are named after different tracks. These are the rest of the times from each round of season 2. Click on a track's tab to view that track's best times.

Once more people start getting ready for season 3, you'll be able to find people to run with in rooms with season 3 spec's, which are slower.

Thanks man, stick around 👍

Thanks Wardez.

Was beginning to think this series had died before it was born until I dropped in on the Miata series thread and saw you all were running that, so chilled on the whole deal.

Already got my Integra set up to season 2 specs. Been testing it at Tsukuba just to learn how to drive it. Will start practicing on the tracks from season 2 this weekend. Haven't driven Spa much.

Since I have yet to brave the world of open lobbies, and will likely not work up the courage to do so, how does one run in online mode? Pretty sure I can figure out how to set up the tire wear and fuel consumption if someone can point me in the right direction to the "online" thing. Do I just set up my own online race?

Thanks for the link to the qualifying times. Definitely will be checking my times against those.

I will be out of town and offline the week of Feb 19 so won't be able to participate during that week if it starts before of during.

Thanks for all the info in any case Wardez.

The best way to race online, by yourself, is to go into your own lounge. Get there by going on the "Community" tab of the GT Life screen. It should default to your own profile. Look for a Coffee cup on the screen, click on that, and away you go.

Will do. Thanks.

Tested in practice mode last night on spa and best time I could make was a 2:34:something. And that was with the driving line on to help me learn braking points. Looks like I've got some work to do to be able to keep up with you all.

Would anyone be willing to post up some tunes for the integra here when they can find the time?

I've been adjusting camber, ride heights, spring tension and fiddled with the LSD a little in an effort to tune the understeer out of this car and have improved it, but I'm still not able to turn a spa lap at better than a high 2:36.

Currently running default (standard) transmission settings with aero maxed, no ballast added and default weight distro.

Went looking in the season 2 thread and didn't see much, if anything, related to tunes yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
