Found some settings from one of the tuning forums and applied them to my tune and was able to run a 2:33:8... Not sure if it was result of tuning changes or getting the oil and chassis renewed.

Definite improvement but still comes in 2 seconds off qualifying pace and 4 from pole sitter, from last season on spa.

Curious, why the plan to limit power for season 3?

Probably to minimize tire wear. This being a FWD car they like to go through front tires fairly quickly.

I reckon that makes sense, since slowing down, going into and out of corners, is not a good option.

Wardez
...

As far as ways to find out if you're "good enough" ('cause you are already good enough in our opinions, since you're active, interested, and excited) or how fast you are compared to us then last season's qualifying times are a good benchmark.

...

Then go out and try out the different tracks we ran on your own. Make sure you do it online, with tire wear on. Then compare your laps to last season's qualifying times listed in the google doc qualifying registry spreadsheet we used last season here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApxiLS-TgIrqdGZLcG5MYkJCRGNvblBGTEdnVjBlYVE#gid=10

Clicking on that link sends you to the first page of the sheet, which was qualifying for Spa. You'll notice tabs at the bottom of the sheet that are named after different tracks. These are the rest of the times from each round of season 2. Click on a track's tab to view that track's best times.
...

What tires were used for the runs on spa?

I'm sure it was Racing Hard tires for the whole season.

That's a little disheartening.

Keep in mind that this was the last race of the season (SPA)...so a lot of (work/adjustment/seat time) has been done at this point.👍

Understood. Still, I've put close to 500 miles on my integra trying to tweak it to hit those marks.

Still have some more tweaking to do I reckon. May work on it some tonight after I run the seasonals.

Thanks.

Yeah, 295hp on these cars was right on the edge of too much. With the changes in tire physics, there's no way they could last with that much power. Lowering it to 269 should have the added benefit of making the racing closer as well.

Within the next few days, I plan on finalizing everything and getting the main thread up, with the goal of having the pre-season race next weekend (the 18th).

These are the tracks I'm thinking of including for the schedule. If you guys could let me know which ones you do NOT want to see, that'd be great. It will be cut off at 6 races, with 1 preseason race.

Tsukuba (possibly with the moto-chicane)
Suzuka East
Laguna Seca
Le Mans (will be the enduro if included, otherwise, I wont bother with including it)
Rome / Rome Reverse
Autumn Ring
Grand Valley East
Cape Ring Inside / Cape Ring South

I've pretty much decided that the races will be in the same timeslot as the RX-7 series, Sundays at 4:00 PM Eastern. Everything else is pretty much set.

I am back and interested in joining this series! This should be a great way for me to get back into some competitive GT5 racing. Your series are always well organized and there have been some great races in the past seasons.

Sign me up!

Saves me the trouble of tracking you down and asking you to join in!

Great to see you back, man :)
