Looking to find some good racers to join me and fellow GTP member martinseber for some FIA GT1 racing. If there is enough interest we may turn this into a race series at a later date. Room is usually up by late morning/early afternoon on SUNDAY'S.(up earlier after the realGT1/3 races)

Room is titled: FIA GT1 w/ROADCARS.

For now here's how we run things.

Regulation settings:

Performance Points: 550 (car must have a wing from GT AUTO to meet the regulations).

Drivetrain: all are allowed

Tuning: unrestricted

Tire restriction: Racing Hard

Driving Aids: ABS only!!


Event settings:

Laps: 6 to 11 depending on track size. (includes one for rolling starts).

Tire/fuel consumption: on

Boost: off

Slipstream: weak

Damage/visual damage: off

Grip reduction: real

Penalty: none (with the exception of the following. Corner cuts, ramming and causing other competitors to go off track. If so you should be a gentleman and slow if you corner cut or give the position back if you run someone of track.)
Contact and cuts will not be tolerated and violations to the rules above will result in you being kicked from the room!!

Starts: We will be doing rolling starts. The first lap of the race is used to do the rolling start. Who ever is first on the grid will lead everyone around the track at 60mph/80kph to form the grid. We drive around one lap to start the race. We will designate a point on the track before the start line where we will accelerate.(There will be times when we will use the Skyline GT-R pace car to start race).


Car specs:
-All mods and weight reduction is allowed to meet 550pp regulation. AGAIN!!! All cars must have a wing installed from GT AUTO!! IF ONE CANNOT BE FITTED TO THE CAR, THEN THE CAR IS NOT ELIGIABLE FOR USE IN THE ROOM! All other aero parts are optional.

-All 4WD cars must be made as close to RWD. (torque split 10 front 90 rear. Front diff- initial torque 5 / accel 5 / decel 5.

-Cars are to be from stock form. (no racing cars or RM/TC.)

Any car that can be classified as a GT car. Or choose from the following "PREMIUM CARS"

-Aston Martin DB9
-Aston Martin V12 Vantage
-Audi R8 4.2 or 5.2
-BMW M3 '07
-BMW Z4 Coupe '08
-Chevy Corvette Z06 or ZR1 '09
-Chevy Camaro SS '10
-Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR ’08
-Ferrari 430 Scuderia ’07
-Ferrari 458 Italia ’09
-Ferrari 599 ’06
-Ford GT '06
-Jaguar XKR Coupe ’10
-Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ’08
-Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640/670 SV ’09
-Lotus Evora '09
-Maserati GranTurismo S ’08
-McLaren MP4-12C ’10
-Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG ’10
-Nissan GT-R ’07/SpecV '09/Black Edition '12

I runned a rece or two in the last sunday. That was a awesome race. See you on next sunday.
 
So you guys run races on sundays? what times in GMT or EDT?

I want to join but unless I have a planned time in my head I'll never remember

It's usually all day. Unless the GT1 race is on. For you it would be after 2pm. I usually post when the room is up anyway. It's a blast and I hope u have time to join us.

Ok, I'll check this thread at 2pm on sunday then.

It does sound like a blast. I've been doing a lot of spec racing lately, and I like it but using tuned cars can be fun too. I especially like the cars we can use since they're mostly supercars. Though I'm now wondering what time the F1 race starts since it's in canada.
 
Check before F1 race. I think there is a small window between that and GT1 race. And if not we will race after f1 lol.

I could be mistaken but I think the F1 race is at 1pm EDT (or it could be just when Sky's coverage starts, which would mean the race actually doesn't start until 2:30pm). We'll see.

I had a question though, I assume we would be doing multiple races correct? Is there any rule like making us stick to the same car for all races? I think that would actually be cool and realistic.
 
We use multiple cars. Id go make as many cars as u can based on the room regs! I personally use about 10 different cars in the room based on track or whatever I feel like using at the moment. For now the variety is fun!!

I have all of them. There's a few that seem to be really good for the amount PP, and a few that are terrible for the PP.

Most likely I'll be racing the 599, Evora, Alfa 8C, Scuderia or the Gallardo.
 
Ok Tom. You had me confused lol. I thought you are in Europe lol. There is plenty of time to race before the F1 race lol

No I'm in massachusetts. Does that mean I should've checked at noon? You guys still racing?
 
Sorry I forgot about it today guys. I'm back from Florida, I just had a bunch of stuff going on today and it totally slipped my mind. I'll be there next week, just gotta leave at like 5pm I think because I'm entering a 2 hour race in iracing that starts at 6pm so...
