Now that looks like a fun game. My boys and I should have a lot of fun with that game. Drivers flying through the windshield? Oh yeah, we'll have fun with this one! :D

I agree with Flerbizky. I think this game looks hilarious! I have seen several vids on this and I just cant stop laughing. I am currently playing Test Drive Eve of Destruction but it is nothing compared to how Flatout will be!!!! The guys flying thru the windshields and getting run over is just great entertainment to me. 👍
Here are some vids that Driftgod posted on other sites.
Ps2 Trailor

OMG can you guys say Pre-order...that was sic, flying out the window, scoring like it was some kinda freaking skeet ball game,,,,,just awesome !

LMFAO!!!! New vid posted on gametrilers.com
new trailer
Wow, that game looks so stupid, but a lot of fun. Just what I love!

I can't wait to get it. My boys and I are really going to have fun with this one!

Thanks for the update! 👍

I was afraid the game would be a piece of sh.. and I would need to change my username. Actually the vids look fun and this is pretty much the way I drive in GT3 :scared: so I guess I'll stay flat-out

I tried this game out for a bit but didn't really like it much. Having your driver fly out the car is pretty funny to watch, but it gets boring after a few crashes. And the racing isn't that fun either... :(

just my own opinion. ;)

I didnt think it was out yet. Mabey you have connections?

;) Let's just say some games find their way around the world before it gets release into retail... hehe

I didn't play too much into this game, but from the basic selectable cars, the controls were average for a racing game. I lose too much speed through turns so I make use of the nitro to accelerate out of every turn, but this might just be my driving style...
I would like to play a demolition mode though (maybe the game does include it but I've only played the race mode). Personally I wouldn't buy this game, but it's fun for a rental or unless if you have other methods to get a copy of this game ;)

Has anyone played this yet? It was supposed to be out by now but I haven't seen it yet in the rental stores.

My friend has the demo, and the game was really arcade. I'm not saying that it should be a killer-simulation, but it should be a little more realistic. I'm waiting for a mod that will change the driving, then I'll get it.

I have the demo and it has nice graphics in my opinion. It has some fresh ideas and the physics of the enviorement(sp?) are cool. I'm just disappoinded because it's so arcadey. I was waiting for a simulation due the fact that the development team's last game was a rally simulation (Rally Trophy)

Well, I might get it, but I doubt it

My friend sent me this yesterday for the PC. Im picking up a controller tonight and when im done checking out the Forza demo for the x-box then I will play Flatout for the PC and post my opinions tomorrow. Or late tonight.
This game isnt out in the US yet.

This is my first impression and mild review for the PC.
I am at around 25% (played for a few hours) and this game is really fun. As you progress thru the game you have the ability to get different vehicles all with multiple performance upgrades including shocks, tranny, cluch, tires, body, suspension, and lots of engine options ranging from crankshaft to honing and much more. The more stuff you damage while you race, the more money you get. The racing mode reminds me a lot of "Test Drive Eve of Destruction" for the PS2.
The added bonus in this game is what sets it apart from the rest. As you may have seen in the trailer I posted above, your driver can fly out of the car if you hit hard enough. The added bonus to that is that there are modes where you actualy eject your driver from the car and launch him in a variety of ways to score points. They are "bonus" modes and are hilarious. I have unlocked several so far and I have tried a couple of them. One of them I had to drive as fast as possible and hit a ramp that goes almost straight up in the air. Right away I eject my driver and he goes flying wayyy in the air and it records how high he goes. My best so far is 104FT  Thats over the top of the gauge but I had a well built car with over 200hp.
In these bonus modes there is also one for destruction derby. This is the most realistic destruction derby I have ever seen on any platform of gaming. Damage from any angle of the car including the top, bottom, and anywhere on the car.
The further in this game I get the more fun it is. And now I see in my car dealer that I have some really good cars I can buy but they are extremely expensive. The nice thing about the bonus modes is that they are an easy way to get money but they can be time consuming.
Great game so far. 👍
I have not tried online yet.

Hey Camaroboy69, how far are you into the game? Has anyone else played it or completed it yet? I got this game a while ago and it has been slightly overlooked in favour of GTA:SA and GT3 with my new DFP but I got back into a few days ago and now I'm only a few races away from finishing the game.

I actually have the game on Xbox but there is no point creating a new thread since the games are the same on both Xbox and PS2.

Edit: Just got 100%. Bit annoying really as there is no reward for doing such, no extra cars, tracks or modes and you are left with little replayability. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. I'll probably trade it in on GT4, Forza or Midnight Club 3, whichever comes out first. I'm not holding my breath for any of them though.
