yeah, the same that was available at the tokyo show some time ago. It was here (now that sony and playstation are officialy in Mexico and are a company all by themselves, not brought here by particulars) in the Electronic Game Show held today... and im, you know, like yay.
The gameplay isnt as easy as GT3, the car is now easier to lose in turns, the sand stops you RIGHT now and desbalances the car completely, if you really go into the sand, you WILL spin to hell. Also, if you get hit while in first person view, the screen becomes all blury, and it gets disturbing sometimes. you enter in pits and your entire crew come out, lift your car, and change your tires (I did that with the VW bug =D).
The graphics are amazing too, it looks very similar to GT3 at first glance, but comparing them (wich I did, GT3 was there too) unfurls the differences, wich are clear once you se them. the textures are better defined now, as well as the light effects, the people now looks better, and the cars look really better, the reflections are awesome, and there is the much-discused bakfire now.
and of course, the cars. There were 377 available cars for playing, but obviously, I went for the obvious: classics! I sank my theet into a race 427 67 Vette, a 440-6 73 Cuda, a 53 Mercedes Benz 300sl gullwing, a 67 Jag type E V12, a 64 Pontiac GTO, a mid-seventies Skyline and Fairlady Z, the VW split window and Karmann Ghia, a Jensen Interceptor, a Gineta, the Dome-O, a Lancia Stratos, a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6, new and old Ford GTs, a 510 Datsun and a Renault R5 turbo, and my favorite of the night: A BUICK GRAND NATIONAL!!!! wich btw drives like a dream, those poor M3s couldnt chase me.
I also tried a few race cars, including the sauber mercedes C9, that BMW LeMans roadster, the CLK GTR and the Sonax C-class Touring car.
other cars that were there, an idiotic ammount of stupid japanese cars (a dozen miatas, I didnt even counted the EVOS), but some of those were interesting, the oldies, of course, and some race and rally (a mid-nineties mitsu pajero dakar
) cars and tuned cars (mines, HKS, and other tuners have their own "choose yer car" secction. Spoon and its integra are there too). there is the complete BMW lineup now, including the M3 CSL and the new M5. Mercedes got some cool stuff now as well, and there was just one playable aston martin, the Vanquish. TVR had its complete lineup and a cool Tasmin from the 70s.
All in all the game is awesome. the tracks are amazing, but the demo had a time limiter so peope could get to play with it. Stupidy, the GT4 area was almost empty, to the point that I got to ride in all the cars I mentioned. it was givin' the controler to the person behinf you, then line up again behind him! stupidity ensues.
well, I cant wait fo the final version. To think that there were only half the total cars and tracks in the demo overwhelms me. I just cant wait. Man I cant wait.
