Please be patient and read the entire post before responding, as this is difficult for me to say. Although I have only been a member here for a few months, I think I've offended my fair share of people and caused enough chaos for now. I've been the victim of more than one viscious attack, but I'm just as guilty of having dished out a few of my own. I've made the odd ignorance-infused post and started or continued several pointless arguments.
Well, I have just signed on as a Premium User, and I have decided that this change of title, although gained by monetary means, should be accompanied by a change in character. Therefore, Anderton as you all know him will cease to exist. Instead, I will strive to lead the rest of the GTP members by example. I will issue no personal attacks, I will never again pose as an anti-American or a Bush-hater, and I assure you I will no longer support Matrix Revolutions in any post from here on.
I will occaisionally put forth my opinion (always stated as such, of course) in certain Opinions forums, but never to the chagrin of another member. The AUP and TOS will be my Bible.
I will, for the most part, remain in the Movies & TV forums, where I began, doing what I do best.

And now I must apologize to every member I have wronged during the course of my membership. I sincerely wish I could name you all. In particular, I wish to apologize to the following members:

Viper Zero
Loudmusic
milefile
danoff
Mista X
neon_duke

Anyway, I couldn't think of a way to inform you all of the arrival of the New Anderton other than opening a new thread. I hope you all don't mind.

I forgive you, But it'll take some time for me to actually take you seriously.

IMO it was a good movie but the ending was horrible and it was a cliffhanger. Not good for the last movie in the series. I expected much better.

Anderton – That took a lot of guts, and a lot of self-criticalness (I can't think of the noun for "critical" right now), and I applaud you for that. I, and many others, look forward to the new Anderton. Go you! :)👍

BTW, just to be clear on one little nagging thing – there's nothing wrong with being against Bush (contrary to what some of my posts suggest, I really only support his fiscal reforms, and think almost all of his social reforms are useless putty), but there is, of course, taking it a step too far, and that's where you got a lot of flack. But now that you've decided to put things into perspective, hopefully we can have very reasonable arguments now. :)
 
When you first got here you were a real prick. But, you've mellowed out a lot. Good luck with the change! :cheers:

For "Go you"? I swear, if you visited California, you'd probably think every guy is gay… except the hicks. Guys here are either hicks or non-hicks. And girls are blonde or not-blonde.

I became a Premium member about 5 minutes before creating this thread, so if you're keeping track, now you know... :odd:

It has nothing to do with that. Ok, you want to stay out of conflicts from now on. Then don't be sarcastic even if a person deserves it. Staying out of conflicts is the art of giving up the privilege to be right in every situation you are right, just walk away instead to get peace or answer kindly. That's the path to less conflicts.

True, but it's so hard to sit back and let such things pass you by. I wish someone else would come in here and tell wheellift to shut up. What we need is a Megatron to my Optimus...

Yes, I know.. It can be so hard to back off only from the slightest insult but that's the key.

Conflicts is mostly built up in a progress, they seldom burst out from nowhere and somewhere in the buildup either of you have to back off to stop the progress.
