I say put a bad smell where the 'Post Reply' button is so you aren't tempted to reply to comments such as wheellift's.

On a more serious note, learn to self-restrain, it can really be your friend. It can help you to not get tempted to: for e.g.

1. Eat
2. Start fights
3. Fart in public places

Hope you have a better future.

eddie, sometimes farting in public places just cannot be avoided. The best you can hope for is to let one slip out silently and pray it doesn't make newborn babies start to cry.

True, I suppose it's also better than holding it in and forcing it to take the vertical route and giving you bad breath. Could the gas go upwards if held in long enough?

There must be a median between complete placidity and full-out war. It is this hallowed ground that I continue to search for...

Is there? I don't know. Looking at myself I tend to turn more and more away from conflicts as life progresses. And that is good for me but then again it hasn't got to be good for anyone else.

Your self reflection showing with a thread like this is anyway a healthy trait.

I just thought you were like that because you were Canadian.

Come on, you know I'm kidding. Congrats on the leaf turning. "Anderton" was getting a little old.👍

Well done Anderton 👍 , nice to see a positive move from you, instead of being a hater all the time ;)

As mentioned above, there is nothing wrong with your anti-Bush stance, it was the way you stated it that forced me to comment before.

I don't even know what wheellift is...is he a bot? Just stick him on your ignore list, he's harmless ;)

Is the Revolutions comment anything to do with me rubbishing the film, or have you just seen the light, its nowhere near as good as the first one ;)

No Tacet, I still really like the end fight between Neo and Smith, but I can see many holes in the film where others may be justified in not liking it. I've been trashed all over GTP, and in my day-to-day life, for liking Matrix Revolutions, but I still haven't changed my overall opinion of the film. Rather, I've realized there's no point in preaching to the un-convertable. No worries, though; your comments are only part of a larger campaign against me and my Matrix Trilogy!

Well, A_Prime, congratulations. I look forward to debating you with logic and example now, rather than just responding to namecalling and inflammatory remarks. It's much more satisfying, and much more likely that both of us will learn something.

Debate is a good thing. Argument is bad. You don't have to change your opinions to get along with people - you just have to understand your own thinking and be able to defend it logically. Good luck!

PS - as Famine said, no need to apologize to me. But the effort is appreciated.

Why didn't I make the list, cockbite!

No I'm just messing. Hey look it's an internet chat board - no one really cares anyway! Be an ass, see if it makes a difference. (:

to Anderton_Prime;

1. Wicked Avatar & name
2. New Leaf, old leaf whatever, s'all good.
3. Canada is better than US
4. All Matrix movies were good, there were just better ones than others
5. G.I.Joe was better than transformers.
6. Although good, thunder cats wasn't as good as either transformers or GI Joe
7. Cartoons aren't as good as they used to be !

Firstly, congratulations about the new pacifist-you. I don't think we ever had a conflict but it's nice to see people lightening up around here. :p

Also, there's nothing wrong with a little sarcasm here and there. ;)

I'm wondering about something. AP changed his username yet it still displays the thread starter as Anderton. Is this just because it was created so soon after he subscribed or will it always show the original username?

Great move Anderton Prime. It sure would be nice if a lot more people took this positive outlook. There are so many people on my ignore list but you were never one of them. You never offended me and I actually liked you. However I did see you going into the crazy defensive world with several different topics and I started to loose respect for you because of how you would argue with the people in there and you just wouldnt let it go.
I really hope your responsible new leaf will influence some more of the people on this site. :) 👍

I don't know about #5 there. I would say G.I. Joe was the better series as a whole, and the toys were cheaper and thus more accessible by someone like me with a meager little kid's allowance, but there ain't no one from G.I. Joe or Cobra who was cooler than ol' Optimus here.
Cartoons these days suck rocks. But I wonder if the kids who love Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh are better off not knowing how friggin' cool shows like G.I. Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, M.A.S.K., etc. actually were. Heck, even the crap 80s cartoons were 10x better than anything on TV today. Remember Captain Planet? Or Buck Rogers? Or Bravestar (the intergalactic cowboy-sherriff?)
I guess I should go make a thread about this in Movies & TV.

And 911_carrera, the thread was started by me before I requested the name-change through the moderators. That's why I didn't change the name too much, so new users will always know the monster I used to be...

Check the new list in post #1, you've been added. I didn't have time to go through the entire Message Forum to see everyone I'd ever spoken an ill word against. Even though some of yous deserved it (not you, though, Loudmusic)!!

Yeah I think most of them need to get their heads chewed off. But they're also the ones who don't stick around for long.

No hard feelings, mate. Keep up the good work.

dude, you can't give up all your views. and there is nothing wrong with ANY Matrix movie. don't be a conformist. I do agree with not insulting people or anything like that, but you don't need to give up all your views. Just whaterver you do, don't be like me. nah, J/K. There should be more like me.

Again, I'm not saying I all of a sudden don't like the Matrix movies anymore. I still love them, but I'm not going to bother arguing to defend them any longer, that's all! Believe me, I've still got my views right here beside me, and won't hesitate to express them to others. But this time I won't be engaging in any insulting arguments, only pleasant discussion and the occasional debate over certain issues.

I'm flattered you remembered to include me on your list.

Frankly, I always thought you were an intelligent and sensitive guy who needed to learn to let stuff roll off. Sounds like you at least want to, and are trying.

I could back that up with facts. But why?

That was a tad offensive, Sage.
How so? I'm just saying that "Go you" is not a phrase exclusively used by gays in any way, and a lot of people around here say it. Simple transitive property: I said "Go you". Chris thinks "Go you" is gay. Many guys in California say "Go you". Thus, Chris thinks that many guys in California are gay.

Not that I'm saying he actually thinks that, and of course we were joking with each other, but there's no way it's offensive. And anyway, how is being gay offensive in the first place? (Evangelical christian beliefs aside.)

Don't worry, ?lackbird doesn't know what he's talking about.

I think thinking everyone is gay is gay and if everyone is gay then whats the problem ? As long as I'm not gay ..although that would be hell on dating..because if everyone was gay who would you date ?So then you could say not being gay sucks and ..well who would have thunk it ?

I was because I do live in California and I am not gay nor are anyone in my school or anyone I know.

That's just sUn at his best still immature even after he just turned 14.

You're totally misunderstanding me – I never claimed that. I said, jokingly, that if you applied inductive reasoning to Chris's statement, most people in California would turn out gay, which obviously isn't true. It was a play on logic, nothing else.

I should note that I'm from California too. And I bet you anything that someone at your school is gay – I just found out a week ago that one of my friends is gay (makes no difference though). You know HondaKid88, who wrote one of the first tutorials on GT3? He's gay. There's nothing wrong with being gay, and the gay community is much larger than you probably think.

Anyway, this it totally derailing Anderton's thread. Out of respect for him, let's just drop it, mkay?

Of course. Just to end it I have nothing against gay men. I just was misunderstanding you. I am sorry. Yes back on topic.

Well, I haven't been around here much, been quite busy with the GTA Forum and outside things, but I just found out about this Thread and came to it.

First of all, I've had nothing but good discussions with you, apart from when you first started in the Rumble Strip. I remember a stupid argument we had, although I don't remember what it was about. But it was fun. You have stepped over the line on a few occasions, but all can be forgiven.

I am willing to give you a second chance straight away, as I recognise you as a guy who has good intentions, but can get quite emotional on certain issues. My only tip to you, is to leave all the frustration with other people on here to a Punching Bag, Wall or Schoolyard Nerd, and simply use your head to outsmart people in debates. Although, I wouldn't put that into practice against people like Famine. I swear, you can never win with the guy.

Either way, I think you're a good guy, and you have good intentions, and I don't intend to change my attitude towards you in any way, nor have I ever done so.

Good luck floating on your new leaf. Just be careful not to get too many holes in it. ;)

What's cack? Matrix Revolutions was good.... I'm with you AP, The last fight was awesome.. but the ending just really didn't suit the film =(

AP,

No need to apologize to me either. I don't remember you saying anything particularly offensive to me. I'm certian that whatever you said to me, I've been called worse by other people on this board.

The opinions forum is a tough place to hang out without getting really ticked at other people, but it's all the more fun that way. Just remember to try to keep your cool and make careful arguments and other people will respect you for it.

As others have said I respect the effort behind this thread.
