Someone mentioned that he needed about $10 million to buy all four of these rare Black LMP cars from the used car lots, and that they appear only very rarely. I would like more information, particularly when they are supposed to appear (what day / week) and how much they cost. Anyone know anything about it? Anyone got one yet?

Also, I DID do a search for "black LMP" which is the only way I've heard these cars referred to as, and searched both thread titles and post content, and came up with NOTHING, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, ZERO.

And if those pictures are any indication of what the cars will cost in the NA version, forget it. I'm hoping it's in Yen and not dollars, which might make the mission attainable.

Upon reading further, how the hell am I supposed to save up one billion frigging credits to buy these four cars? I'm already on day 400 or so, I wonder if they will ever re-appear in the used car lots. This is so stupid.

This is what I know. They are available at the last day of the yearly cycle. I can't remember where I read that though. Anyway, somewhere there is a complete list of all the used cars on each day. Check gamefaqs.com

I just purchased those four cars last night. They appear on day 694 and 2 are in the car showroom and the other 2 in the car showroom II. You need about 8.5 million to purchase all of them.

Looks like it's time for the 256k technique :)

y not the 900,000+ method with B-spec in 3x at 5 speed with pass cars in German Touring Cup. Sell CLK-GTR and bam $750,XXX plus $150,000 for race credits. Done in less than 15mins.

I'll never use B-spec to make me money faster, I'm only expecting to use it to get the prize for the three 24hr races.

It's not a 962.

That is a real life R92CP.

And you need go study the 962 from Dauer if that's what you're referring the Nissan too. They look nothing alike. Just the same body style.

I know what you mean McLaren when you say "They look nothing alike. Just the same body style." but thats a dodgy way of putting it, the Porsche 962 raced in the same group as the R92CP so they do have similarities in style but they are both distinctive.

Yep they all have miles on them, the Nissan R89Cp has 60 odd thousand the GT-One has 30 odd thousand ect.

Maybe I should have said, nothing alike, but same chassis style. low and long. Or somewhere along those lines. :)

What car do you recommend using for this competition? I was trying to use my CLK Touring car that I won in another competition and I had it suped to Turbo Stage 4 with 700+ hp, and I tried using 5 speed and overtake option, but all my car did was stay in last place the whole race. What is this "3X" you talk about? In other words, I need help being a successful B-spec'er!

5 speed will have you make a lot of mistakes. It is better to put it on 4 or even 3. Overtake means you don't race on the "racing line" you try to use another line to pass someone who is on the racing line. You need a vastly superior car in order to win b-spec races (IMHO) because your driver sucks, rams into cars from behind instead of moving out from behind them (even on the straights) and in general is a complete tool.

"3X" is the setting for time lapse. In order to use it, you have to press R1 to bring up a race statistics screen, then HOLD L1 and press to the right on the D-pad to increase time lapse, or hold and press left to decrease.

Thanks Minnesota. To race the German Touring Car Cup (Or Deutsche Meisterschmidt or whatever it's called in the NA version) I used the suped up CLK Touring Car I won from another series and put it on speed level 5 with overtake option, and the car NEVER crashes and overtakes every other driver on the first lap (except for the first track in Paris, where there are so many turns it takes until the second lap to get to first place). If I'm watching the race, I'll sometimes switch it back to level 4 or 3 once in first place, but I've left it on 5 for all five races, INCLUDING Nurburgring, and never lost a race. My driver's never even broken a sweat while driving; hell, he's never even farted.

Because they're rare and they look oh-so-cool in black.

Exactly. Because you have to wait 694 days for them to even become available, and you've got only 7 days to get your hands on enough money to buy them before they're gone for another 694 days.

Mazda 787B - 1,224,999
Nissan R390 - 2,250,000
Nissan R92CP - 1,224,999
Toyota GT-One - 2,924,999
You need 7,644,997 for them all provided the prices havent increased in the US version.
