Im trying to compile a list of Australian GT4 players, so we can organise Lan's and competitions. The more Aussies we get the easier it will be to find someone close to you for a LAN. An identical thread can be found @ Torc Talk, an Aussie based GT forum found here

Hey Alister, I took 'The Spirit' down in April a couple weeks before Targa and since I wasn't able to watch it, I thought I'd drive it :lol:

So, I bought the Targa Program and ended up covering over 1800km in 4 days (if only we weren't site seeing too!!)

hmmm.. I may do a write up of the experience as it was pure driving pleasure

How long has the Torc Talk site been around? I've never heard of it before.

Been around for a year or two. Most of us there are old GTF members who jumped ship after Kenji the site owner lost the plot. The majority of former GTF members went to the new GTX forums, some back to the old GTBN, and others sprinkled themselves around other forums, but a few of us created the TT forums and while its not a big forum it has a good friendly bunch of racers. Been racing with these guys at various forums for around 5-6 years, and the TorcTalk forums were created by Tosk to give us a new home after the GTF debacle.


Anyways, look forward to seeing some of you guys around. I know some of the Victorian TorcTalk guys hold a regular i-link/LAN around F1 time, and i'm sure another event will be on the cards next year. Might finally make the trip myself next year if the missus lets me (i say that every year though :sly: ).

Didn't want the Eagles to win the AFL Premiership more of a Fremantle boy. Haha anyway back on topic not expecting to play online till next due to many reasons. 1. I have the old PS2 where you gotta buy the network adaptor ( I feel cheap and don't feel like dropping money for it ). 2. New PS3 coming out next year ( hopefully ) and I think it's got the internet thingy ready.

It just seems wrong how the Swans won, yet the majority of Sydney-siders don't really follow AFL enough to care muchly.

Anyway, I never realised how many Aussies are on GTPlanet! 👍 👍 :)
 
Doesn't seem alot from my point of view. I mean in an old thread about the release date of our beloved game there seemed to be alot more.

I know that Dodo runs GT4 regularly, and one of the original 'Goldjunkies' Des Lim still races occasionally (when he is not on the golf course). They have not hooked up GT4 with a LAN i don't think, but still drag out the ole firewire hub and cables for some i-link racing from time to time. So i think you might just find a bit of competition over that way mate :sly:
