The GTPlanet 1/4 MILE Record Thread!!​

Welcome to the newly freshened up 1/4 Mile thread. Same rules, different look for 2010 guys. I've taken out the Ver.2 stuff now, because this has been the list for the past 4yrs now. Here's the updates since this thread started in 2005:

Added bit Oct 06. 2006 - Have created a Spec C only category otherwise the whole 4WD Top 10 will be Spec C's. Any other 4WD car from GTR's to ZZII's to Range Rovers to CTR2's will fit in the 4WD category.

Added bit Dec 13. 2007 - Production Classics up to 1975 split into US & Non-US....the US category has merged with American Muscle & No Nitrous Classes added for both race & road cars.

Added bit August 27, 2008 - Just tidied up the original text used in the rules and corrected the grammar used by K-Briggs to my own. Nothing has changed.

Added bit Dec 28, 2008 - Added Tuner Village Category. Any factory special full model (Nismo, TRD, Mugen) or tuner village full model is included in this list.

3. DUE TO SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN'T PLAY NICE, TIMES REQUIRE PICS TO CONFIRM THEIR LEGITIMACY TO BE ADDED TO THE RANKINGS.

Guys I just want to let you know that I've updated ALL THE TIMES FROM K-BRIGGS 1st list INCLUDING ALL TIMES THAT YOU GUYS HAVE PUT UP SINCE MY LAST POST ON ORIGINAL THREAD. Please feel free to break any records you see fit to own and when you do, let us all know so I can update the list for ya's!! :) C yas!! Mafs!!
 
Shelby Cobra - 8.528, I hit my rock bottom there, couldn't do any better, it was a Nitrous run, and I launched in gear 2.

Shelby Cobra - 9.694, This was a No-Nitrous run, not as much time spent on this.
 
8.608 in a Subaru Spec C (trap speed 291km/h!!!) :)

Quicker time possible - lots of wheelspin on launch.
 
My record are 7.555 and 7.760 in the escudo and 8.029 in the subaru c-spec.
I had more, but I often reset without saving, I remember geting a 7.4 but I cant repeat it :(
 
Well, I told the FF boys they were keeping my record warm for me. I was the 1st into the 11.7xx's and now I can claim the 1st into the 11.6xx's with the SRT-4 and also a drop with the Type R. 1st the Dodge.

1. Dodge SRT-4 @ 511hp.
0-100km/h = 4.520sec
0-160km/h = 7.540sec
0-200km/h = 9.520sec
1/4 mile = 11.691@230km/h

Secrets are as follows:
Change in Final Ratio Down from stock, geared like a Pro Stocker (cross at 7000rpm in 6th), TCS increase, LSD at 50:60:60 and also launch technique. I've gained nearly a whole tenth through the launch on FF's compared to the usual redline and drop the clutch. I originally got it down to 11.710 with it geared differently and stock final drive but this was the killer run. Very consistent with 11.699's & 11.70's as backups.

2. Honda Integra Type R DC5 @ 454hp.
0-100km/h = 4.580sec
0-160km/h = 7.560sec
0-200km/h = 9.540sec
1/4 mile = 11.754@230km/h

Secrets are as follows:
Change in Final Ratio Up from stock, only use 4 gears (cross line at 9000rpm in 6th), TCS was unchanged to the 11.799 run and added LSD at 50:60:60.
No matter what I do, I can't get the car to grip properly to get into the 11.74's and 11.73's. Did the 11.754 with two different setup's so it's not impossible to do.

Also did a TVR Speed 12 to play around, and so far I'm at 8.389 @ 309km/h but it's a 1 speed car.....stuck in 5th only so far. :lol:

Seperately, there's a new Top 10 category for Sports Trucks and SUV's. :) That doesn't include wagons.....if that's interesting enough for people it can be added later.

That's it for me, I'll do some more updates a bit later.

I'm not changing the rules, it's just so I can update and refresh the records for everyone as he can't do it anymore. So, it's still the same execpt I've created a Top 10 for each category which means there are a few open slots to fill. Good luck.

Sorry for the delay ladies and gents.......been house hunting the past few weeks. Okay, 4 things.

1. All times updated up to post #25 so check your new rankings, there's been a few changes.

2. To bennyrrr, that's a good idea........will put it in the "will organise next time online" file.

3. You guys aren't even touching the sides with the SUV's. I know of a couple of low 9sec runners in there.

4. Sonzilla, got your PM and nice variety of times, especially with the FTO....makes me want to go home and try and beat that time.

As for me, I'm back off to add more FF's to the 11sec club. I'm up to 10 vehicles so far (SRT-4, DC5 ITR, EP3 CTR, Primera, 147GTA, Taurus, Focus RS, 323F, FTO & '95 Eclipse)

Anyway, missus calls so take care all.

yeah thats a 4wd though, youve got the extra acceleration due to it being a 4wd, im in the process of smashing the 10 second barrier with a lightning
