WELCOME TO GTPDC4​

Now for the instructions. It is imperative that you read this before you register:

This will be a exhibition drift only. There will be 2 divisions: Professional and Amateur. To participate, here's what you need to do: Decide on what car and division you want to compete in.
PM me what division you want to compete in.

DO NOT POST YOUR CAR SELECTION IN THIS THREAD

Your video must not contain your name, or any way to identify who's video it is (to promote fairness in judging).... Instead, use the number that has been assigned to you (via PM), by the head judge.

The video must include the lateral G-meter, speedometer, wheel(if possible), T times, and lap time. It should be a one lap replay without editing using the external replay cameras, and if you can, add a bumper view in PIP mode or after the exterior view replay. The video must not be larger than 25Mb.

When you want to turn in your entry, you can use your own host or any free hosting: yousendit.com (up to 1Gb and 7 days), Rapidshare (up to 30Mb), Megaupload (up to 250Mb but slow download). When the video is uploaded please PM [Sheron] with the link of the video, and post in the thread that your video is uploaded. As soon as they are evaluated, the links will be made public to promote fairness in these challenges.

HP restrictions are gonna be hard to enforce, right? Besides.. high power isn't necessarily a plus on this track... I think this one favors handling/response above all.

Nope. If you want to drift with N3 tyres you need more power than other contestants.

In handling courses I like high grip cars. I control the car better this way.
 
I believe I'm going to have to jump in on this one. :sly: Just for a show run if nothing else. I don't have a lot of experience with the AR II, so it should be interesting. :)
 
yup, np then. I wasn't suggesting that there should be one, I just didn't want people (ie. myself) to spend time tuning only to have one imposed at a later time.

I'm likin this one.

Rules state no :indiff:

If you have a cheat device such as Action Replay, you can save the replay onto an USB drive and send it to someone with a capture card... Other than that, your only option seems to be getting one yourself.

What do you mean save it to the device?? I got that USB Device and it holds a lot of stuff...But one time, I tried to save it, but GT4 wouldn't give me an option to save on it.
 
Niice!! Digi Camera's all the way...Is it okay if there's little black lines that are barely visible? I did a reply on the comp. before but not here on GTP...Count me, and I'll tell you if I can make it...Oh, btw, I'm in amateur for now...And what do you mean by start/finish line we start off of?

I KNOW you did not wuss out with a few weeks to go. There's plenty of time before you have to submit.

You were so excited, then you saw it was a challenge and you back out? Come on, you don't want to go our like that do you?

You won't know how good you are till you try. If you don't win, that's fine, but you CAN'T win if you don't try.
 
Thanks Swift, that just gave me some motivation to get back in :)...I guess I'm back in, but can any one show / tell me how to get around that circle? That's what's messing me up...

I assume you've seen Mike's Drifting for Pro Vol. 2....
You won't find a much better example than that.

Ok, I'm for sure in this now. Ya sure... I have 2 midterm exams next week... but this competition is gonna be good. I've always been a fan of the track and I found a car I have to try out. Sheron, I'm aiming a PM at you.

hah, that's right...
we still have a score to settle from the very first GT4 GTPDC....
this is gonna be good. :D :D
I'm excited for it.
 
I've got so much better at this track already lol. It's basically sorted now bar 1 turn... I haven't quite figured out the perfect line for that double apex after the 270 yet, and the cambered entry doesn't make it any easier to figure out :dunce: Linking into the hairpin is another matter.. but there's still lots of time ;)

Read the post, man.. you start at the Autumn Ring Mini starting line aka right after the tightest left hairpin
