Well Falango's post here got me thinking...since we're all simulated car fanatics, there's a good chance we're real life car fanatics too so I thought I'd make this thread and ask the question:

~What's your real life ride?~

I was quite interested in Falango's description of his car and I'd love to read more stories like it. I also have an Audi A3 but the normal 1.8... It has got some cool sport seats though but I am looking to trade it in for a Polo Diesel because of petrol prices etc.

You're going with the Polo TDI (red letters ?) Those things sure can move ... gives me problems in 1st gear all the way :nervous:  , very nice little cars !

I take it you're not a petrol head anymore ... ? I hear the 2.0T's are hectic on juice ... much more than my 1.8T, I get 8.5l/100km, good for such a car I would think ...

my ride

MAKE: Ford
MODEL: Falcon Futura
YEAR: 1995

Mods:
17" CSA "Gladiator" Alloys
Lowered (twice)
and not much else

Wish List:
Turbocharger, or drop in a new XR6 Turbo engine...
Shift kit
18's

my ride is a 1998 toyota corolla sedan... i don´t have pictures at the moment, but i´ll try to find one...

the only mod would be a set of ´17 wheels...

wishlist - a new windshield (yes, mine is a bit broken)
a new corolla would be gladly accepted:dopey:

MAKE: Volkswagen
MODEL: Golf CL 1.8 8V 5speed
YEAR: 1995
POWER: ~100hp now maybe

MODS: Too many to enumerate, so I'll list a few...
-17" Konig Troubles wheels with Falken sports tires
-Lowered suspension by about 1.25" front and back with Neuspeed sport springs
-Replaced shocks by sport Bilstein shocks front and back
-Bigger anti-sway bars, front and back
-Put in strut braces, front and back
-Remus muffler only (no catback)
-268 degree cam installed
-Port & Polish + Shaving the head down a little
-Slotted brakes with Hawk pads and stainless steel braded lines in the front
-Momo steering wheel
-Various little add-ons here and there cosmetically, like the lower front lip spoiler, eye lids on lights, extra cooling air vents up front, smoked GTI style rear lights, and so on...
-Audio: About 750 watts RMS @ 12 volts of power of which 500 watts solely to two 12" subwoofers

Mods I wish I wouldn't have done:
-Port & Polish with shaving of the head (WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR MY CRAPPY LITTLE ENGINE)
-17" wheels, increased the understeer, added more weight to the car (16" WHEELS WERE PERFECT)

Mods I wish I could have done, money permitting:
-Drop in a 1.8T chipped in that chassis :scared:

Bah, so much money wasted that I could have put down on my next car, which is hopefully a new MKV GTI 2.0T (Haven't decided on DSG or normal 6 speed yet, I'm gonna miss doing heal-toe if I go DSG). But the car is still extremely fun to drive, even if it has no grunt.

I'll be posting new pics soon as I just had a 2003.5 MAZDASPEED Protege spoiler arrive today. Once it's painted and mounted, I'll have some fresh pics with the HID's, CF hood, and spoiler. I figured I'd post bout my car since this is a car game and I'm sure there are lots of other car fanatics out there that like to mod and tune.

Absolutely, look forward to seeing it, I quite liked your wheels by the way 👍

Thanks, I am so tempted to put em back on, but now is when we usually get slippery roads and maybe some snow, doubt it will happen though. I went with that wheel because I had never seen a car with it before, never seen that color on a wheel before, and of course, thought it would flow great with the car. I'll have them back on when I do my next photoshoot.

Nah!

You miss-understand my British sense of humour! ( as anyone, unenlightened that is, does!)

It was a reference to your location!

ie. Kate Beckinsale's Knickers!

There is bound to be VERY little room for cooling in there! ;)
