You think a just discovered exploit would have programs and stuff for it already?

:dunce:

This could just make me buy a PSP...once certain functions are up and running of course. :)

Have any of you tried this?, I would be interested in getting this working for some emulation fun myself. Im guessing this isnt a working hack, but more of a proof of concept, as running an image on your psp cant help run software... can it?

EDIT

I have just done it, and it nearly crashed the PSP, it brings up the wobbly text as it should, but it wouldnt let me exit it or turn off the PSP via the power switch, the only way I could get back to the main screen was by removing the battery while turned on. So use it at your own risk.

Let me clarify some things:

-Hello World, is just a hello world, it's the first step in anything
-There are no working emulators or anything for it YET
-Doing a hard reset will take you out of the hello world screen

You have to hold the power switch for longer than usual.

Glacier, why aren't you running homebrew already? Your on 2.6. You can downgrade if you want. Unless you have a TA-082 motherboard you can't...for now.

that would be why, TA-082 motherboard :(

I just got it the other day and it actually came with 2.5 firmware and I had to upgrade to play GTA:LCS and MLB 06: The show

Somewhat..0okm managed to 'SofDown' a 2.5 TA-082 PSP. It took over 45 minutes though.

I've heard people waiting only 3 minutes though.

I'd hate to wait 45 minutes to downgrade a psp though, like damn, I'd fall into depression in that amount of time

It takes like 3 minutes to dump the firmware, then you have to do some checks on it or something..I wouldn't know exactly. I have a 1.5 PSP and a 2.8 PSP. ;)

Sorry for the double post.

Downgrader is out, and I successfully downgraded.

Homebrew is omfg. :)
