anyone know how to make the car go all the way through the turns with a fully turned sideways turn? i've beat the story mode all the way up to the second selection that allows me to use the rx7, which means i've beaten all the 86 stages and got the ae101! it's one amazing drifting machine! i can almost finish every race nicely and quite easily.. except when facing the FC.

got tips? post it.

In my opinion, there are no best racing game ever!

Gran Turismo :- Real Driving Simulator

IDAS :- Drifting style, no real drive feeling but game festures is following the manga..

TXR01 :- This game has customization and engine swap option.

Each game has it's own features and advantages upon other games. So I see there's no best racing game in the world. It is depends on what type of car racing you like.

:)

very true indeed to be honest.

Meh Initial D special stage is ok, but it ain't no substitute for GT3. Or even GT2 for that matter, especially when you find out that your next upgrade to your freakin car is a tofu sticker. Also, the physics are pretty lame, I mean when have you ever heard of a car picking up speed mid corner (and I mean like sharp ass hairpin bends) and then when going downhill sometimes your car's speed barely increases. Don't get me wrong, it's fun has hell blasting down those mountain roads, but then I just keep thinking 'that's not right', although it's a fun enough game in it's right.

GT2.

God that sounds like so much fun. I can't wait until i go flying down mountians in my eight six. Until then, Special Stage will substitute. Should arrive in 5 or 6 days.

yah, see.. i told you all
we each have our own perspective :P
i like it.. while some others don't...
but the game is really fun.. since the tracks are actually tricky.. i think it beats gt2, but not gt3. just because i think the graphics and idea is better than gt2. the sharp turns are the fun part of the game... and um, if you played the game, you have the sticker from the start.

yup, you should go and buy it.
have fun :)

I heartly agree, you see, it doesn't matter how fast you go on the straightaways, it is all about the turns. If you are suceeding in GT3, then you know that the only way to win on courses like trial Mountain or Corte'a zur, you can't just have a 1000 hp Viper.

Only 5 days, then I get to experience Initial D. I am so stoked!

yepz. and good luck with initial D.
at first you'll probably be frustrated on how to control the car... as it's COMPLETELY different from any other racing game. however, when you get the hang of it.. you'll like it :)

Actually, I have a really good sense of drifting on GT3, so will that help in Initial D?
What kind of car should I use?

nope. what you do in gt3 has no relations in initial D..
it's a totally different style of driving.
what kind of cars should you use? well it depends what you want.. FR, FF, 4WD, MR... i suggest driving the main car which is an ae86.. although it's quite slow if you keep hitting the rails.. so maybe you wanna try the lanevo's or rx7's at first... but here's a tip: don't over speed a turn, or you will pay

oh, okay. Well, then, I will probably try to get the hang of it on the eight six. I mostly drive the infini III RX-7 on Gt3, so i will stick with that.

oh, yeah, about the forum, I would probably vote for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The more that I think about it , i really like driving Ferrrais.

Meh, I like it but it's not realistic. Not that I don't like the game because of it, I mean burnout or ridgeracer aren't realistic but I like them. GT2 is a more in-depth simulation game, so I suppose they shouldn't be compared, same with GT3.

When I said the tofu sticker, I was talking about the 'Legend Of the Street' mode. Which one of my is the Trueno, but you start off with a Trueno that is completely standard (no foglights, watanabes or tofu stickers) but one of the upgrades was the tofu stickers, allong with all the other stuff like the new engine. I haven't played much into the Manga mode though but I know what you mean.

It's a fun game, but fun in a different way to GT2/3.

if there was ever a best racing game...they should combine all the style of the GT' series and tokyo xtreme racer 0 and .....maybe initial d too .....now that would be intresting to see...

would it??:odd:

nope, not really..
since yah, i agree with the previous post... they're dfiferent styles of games.. you can't combine them together or compare them really much.... gt3 is aiming for the realistic view.. but initial d is aiming for the drifting view... while tokyo extreme racer targets the street racing; dodging cars...... all different.. can't combine or it'd be a big mess....

hmm, you still get the tofu sticker don't you?!
you don't need an upgrade for that.... unless you pick the empty one..... you can pick the FIRST version, which has it... oh well, i'll see if later :P i'm back with gt3 modding cars.... so that's taking me a while...

*try story mode, it's fun! :D

What if TXR0 had better physics, like GT3? That would be a bit better (since TXR01 already has better graphics than before). Then take that idea and give it a slight story line, Initial D style. What y'all think? Yes? No? Maybe.

um, any store should have it...well any major game store.. i doubt that like futureshop or walmart would have it.. but if you try eb, they should have it. also ordering them online is another possibility. :)

Hey, i've got a question about the story mode.

You know the race when you get the new engine and you have to then race the guy in his Levin. I beat him and finish the race. But then the race just seems to start over again. Is there something special I have to do here?

I think it's stage 15 or 16?
