They've dropped the VTS and VTR name...why?

I know it was a bit chavvy, but it sold...

They lost all meaning a while ago - VTS went soft, and VTR turned into a confused trim level. What I'd like to know is where on earth the C2 went and why there's not a suitable chavvy replacement.

I want that. It looks awesome, has an awesome paint job and presumably performs pretty well. Hot hatches ftw.

Can I have one in orange with black accents?

The roads aren't exactly awash with C2s. I'm guessing that it sold only averagely and with the DS3 appearing, they have their "young, cool and hip" small car sorted now. Even if it's going to be more expensive than the C2. I quite like the C2 in a way actually. I wouldn't buy one, but it's a nice effort.

All true.

But it sold.

Well, the Saxos did. How often do you see a C5 or Xsara VTR/VTS? You don't, because they're bland and fade into the scenery. And it's been years since the Saxos were around so the badges really don't have any meaning any more.

DS4 goes on sale and DS5 is introduced. The latter definitely looks better.

DEAR SWEET JESUS!

For a mid-size family hatch...that is beautiful!

I really like the DS5... except for that piece of bodywork extends upwards between the A and B pillar.

Other than that, it's quite a striking design... Citroen have certainly sorted themselves out post some of the rubbish they have had on sale over the past 10 yaers.

This. Absolutely stunning from every angle as far as I can tell. The details all over the bodywork are astonishing. I can't wait to see one 'in the flesh'.

I love Citroen's new design language, the DS range with all the DS badges makes it seem like a new car company! If I was in the market for a new hot hatch the DS3 would definitely be in the running.

I'll echo pretty much every other comment here, it's distinctive and unique, subtlely elegant and well proportioned. It is recognizable as a Citroen to everyone, I really appreciate it. 👍
