^ nice. I swear if I ever win we are going to kart space to qualify.
I know how you feel. I was a bit discouraged last night. I felt really slow. But then I looked at the PP of all the cars and my results were about right. Now I did gain a fair number of places due to other peoples mistakes but I will take it. I do not see a nightly win in my future but I did have a good time.

I want to thank everyone that is coming out and taking part and those that are helping to keep this going. I know that if we can just get a few more regulars the challenge/fun level will go up and we should all be mixing it up on track a bit more.

Monday's test line up for 1760pp:

MR: Lotus Elise Type 72 '01 415pp
FF: Dodge SRT-4 '03 435pp
4WD: Ford RS200 '84 438pp
FR: Amuse S2000 R1 '04 475pp

I may race again this Monday. Sundays are out for me but that was a good time. Need to take the time to actually pick my cars

Glad you enjoyed it. Getting the car picks right is a big deal.

I do sometimes find it hard to pick cars I know are fast when I do not like them in real life and I sometimes pick cars I know are slow because I like them in real life:crazy:

Thursday's funky balanced approach :)

FF: Integra RM. 469pp
FR: 370Z.Premium. 469pp
4WD: RS200. 431pp
MR: NSX RM. 499pp

1874pp

Here's my line up.
Spoon Integra type R'99 FF 422pp
RUF 3400S '00 MR 477PP
Opera 350Z '04 FR 491PP
Nismo 400R '96 4WD 495PP

See you all on track, especially you Smiggy.:)

There's one thing I would like to open for discussion... Race cars.
I think we should keep this competition as "street" as possible as racing cars always have the downforce advantage making races a little unfair.

I think we should keep this competition as "street" as possible as racing cars always have the downforce advantage making races a little unfair.

First of all, downforce is calculated into PP. Second of all, how is it possibly unfair if everyone is able to choose the car? I have tested plenty of race cars that are not as fast as a street car at the same PP.

Fully agree with Bowler.

PP is calculated into the aero advantage. Go into settings of any race car and increase the donwforce...the PP will go up.

Lots of race cars are slower than similar PP street cars.

Agree with the pp part of it but in fast corners a car with a spoiler makes it faster than a car without any spoiler support but anyways, it's just an idea.

My layout for tonight is:

FF: Volkswagen Scirocco R '10 - 445pp
MR: Honda NSX Type R '02 - 475pp
FR: Toyota FT86 G Sports Concept '10 - 483pp
AWD: Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI '10 - 472pp

Total - 1875

You are right Shmiggy. But given a similar PP of a street car vs race car, the race car may corner better but be slower in acceleration and straight line speed.

As usual, I won't be able to input results in the spreadsheet during the race on Thursdays. So if someone racing tonight has access to the sheet tonight and would like to keep score...be my guest :)

according to Schmmigz I should not have problem beating him tonight

HONDA CR-Z TC FF 464
LOTUS ELISE RM MR 478
Mitsu CZ-3 Tarmac Rally Car 4WD 511 (breaking in)
Chrysler Prowler FR 425

Won't be racing tonight :(

Back to guest status

Looks like a good grid tonight!

Good news for me. My night just freed up so I will be dropping in with the following lineup:

FR: Amuse S2000 Street Version 447PP
MR: NSX-R Concept 470PP
FF: Trial Celica 476PP
AWD: Lancer Evo IV Rally Car '97 482PP

Total: 1875PP

I though I would go for a little more balance so I threw this together.

Think I might jump in and try this tonight. I picked my cars in 15 mins so I probably will spend the majority of my time getting out of everyone's way. So here goes...

Honda NSX Type R '02 471PP MR

TOTAL: 1869

Let's take the PP number for Thursday down to 1580. Few choices for AWD but it should open up the FF selection more than the higher PP.
