Love the MR2 choice (except for the shifter part :p ) I have two of them IRL: Steel Mist Grey 93 HT turbo autox competition car from 2010-2016; White 95 HT w/3sgte-genIII love to daily drive it. for a few months I had 3 of them (pic below), sold the yellow one back in 2010.

Definitely not a knock on the SW20. Just this game's shifting logic.

Drive it and not race it means that smooth is fast. Keep momentum up, don't slide around and carry more speed.

Yes but some believe that if you throw the car into corners and concentrate on entrance speed that they will set good lap times. Previous versions of the game allowed that to a certain extent. Certain cars (more powerful) were always more receptive to this as drivers were able to throw the car into a corner, have it barely stick, and then power out. The lower powered cars have always been more about "proper" technique and getting everything right to go fast.

Growing up on dirt tracks taught me the right way. You attack the entrance too hard on a dirt track and you'll end up in a wall, over the banking or pointing in the wrong direction.
 
The latest update snuck in something that should help with recruiting a bit. The room name length for custom lobbies has increased from 20 to 62.

So... something like “SNAILracing.org - Clean Spec Racing League” could be included in all of our public/practice lobbies.

The real way to combat that is to have true private rooms. Hopefully they'll make this a thing.

you mean white one, right? ya, I used to store one of the MR2s under a jetski - wife called it "the MR2 crusher". The jetski was, mercifully, sold a few years ago.
 
Trying to work on D2 data today. I guess it's been a while. How do I change gap time to normal?
