Just out of curiosity, what were the reasons?

1) I usually setup the three "Saved Settings" to match up with the 3 Combos for League racing. Saves time in not having to make all the changes to the existing room. Endurance: No other Room Setup could be used - had to stay in the one setting and make all the changes from one Combo to the next.

2) Where the Endurance setting saved calculating Lap counts, etc ....... there was really no way for an individual driver to know at what point in the race (if waiting for an opportunity to make a pass) to increase the pace. Of course one could compare the lap times and "remaining time" in the race. Easier to glance at the Lap count and know exactly.

3) The Endurance time variables are in 5 min increments .... 5-10-15 etc. No adjustment can be made in between those times. Last night we talked about lengthening the time to accommodate the Yellow Flag time delay in racing. Could not increase it 1 or 2 mins for that purpose.

Overall, the Endurance Mode just limited my use of settings that I had become accustomed to making ahead of time. Perhaps further use would gradually help in getting used to it ....... but still would cause the time delays on Sunday nights while the Host makes all the Combo changes. THAT is the biggest draw back of all, IMO.

So from the info above it looks like D2 is spreading around the speed. A few new faces have made their way into our group and are proving themselves worthy competitors! Looks like it will be a solid month of close racing throughout the division!

Garage is on hold for the next... Month? 1 week to finish up school, report cards, books, etc, and then 2+ weeks for prep and departure for Philmont with the Scouts. I am going through Wilderness First Aid all weekend, so Sunday may be a little rough.

I will be able to race the following weekend, but I will be completely off the grid from 6/24 through 7/8 or 7/9.

THEN I can finish the garage, and then check out pretty things like the beauty above. You nailed the style, sir. Well done.

Had another 40 minutes on round 4 so with total of 1 hour now sitting at 2:19.0xx for top 700 us and top 7500 global. Pretty happy with that. Better than last year with much less time invested. Pretty sure I can get in the 17s. My best ever GTA is 360th us I want to do better this year!

I really wish life didn't get in the way of these kind of events. Would be awesome to be a part of a team. Thanks for sharing the great practice pics. Keep us up-to-date on the teams progress!

Based on talk in the 2014 Final Round thread, the cutoff to make nationals for the US is currently 37th (@jpe138083) at 2:15.645. Based on that, we have several others within a few tenths. Get some extra rest and then put in some quality seat time and punch your ticket to NYC.

Expecting some guys leapfrogging into the top 28, will have to get back on it later today but I really don't want to because it will be a tough job to improve to a 2:15.2..
 
Oh man, I hope I can get back on and improve on my #66. The only problem I have found is that it takes me an hour to warm up after taking a couple days off. I can't get anywhere close to my best time until I've warmed up, so probably won't hit my target of top 50 :grumpy:
