The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - TOYOTA MR2 GT-S 1997 (SH) at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit - 09:30 Cloudy (12 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @src_ej6 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @src_ej6 has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @src_ej6 is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - PORSCHE 911 GT3 (997) 2009 (SS) at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix - 05:30 Clear (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @racingchamp30 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @soundtiger95 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

@src_ej6 @racingchamp30 @soundtiger95 will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes that will contain deadlines and instructions.

If you raced in D1 this week, you are entitled to make one suggestion for prize A from which @src_ej6 will choose.
  • You only get one suggestion. Editing your post to change your suggestion or making multiple suggestions will disallow all your suggestions
  • Your suggestion must be clear. Use the entire car and track name and include a time of day if you don't want default time
  • Remember, you are not voting once someone makes a suggestion that you like. Be original.
  • You must make you suggestion in this thread before 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday
@SAMHAIN85 @Sean Renon @Nicktune @GTPvw_slc @spidermonkey @thracerviewr @Rob Brown @todally_lit @Zalcecan @Rednose58 @luke norris

As a side note. I don't think there is a division in SNAIL that has more drivers with different GTP and PSN IDs.

So I finally got my PSVR last night. It is pretty damn awesome. The first words out of my mouth when I was sitting in the GTR NISMO at Tsukuba were "holy S---, it's like im actually here!" Definitely was reaching out as if i could touch the car itself (the videos definitely don't do it justice).

I revisited some old combos from the endurance series wishing I could run VR in multiplayer. The ability to look through the corners like i would in my car on the track creates such an advantage. On top of that, the overall sensation of speed feels realistic too, so I'm not guessing on braking points or relying heavily on visual queues. I can almost go by feel.

The Showroom feature is pretty awesome by itself. Protip: start the viewing session sitting down, then stand up after you see the car. It's like you're at a cars and coffee viewing all of the details of the cars!

1v1 mode could use a harder difficulty or at least PVP. The computer is set to murder you on the start, but then goes really slow (typical GT3 owners at the track to be honest).

I felt only a little lightheaded starting out, mainly because my body was expecting motion and G forces, but I got used to it and was able to run VR for about 2 hours without issues. I will say, if you get motion sickness easily (i dont), ease into the session. The 3D depth will throw you off and takes some getting used to. Other than that, this is easily the best $200 i've spent on any gaming equipment.

It is no sin to bring a car back that was raced before. Not everybody was here and if you like the car or combo, why not bring it back? However, there are a few cars on the list that have not made an appearance. Here they are sorted by Group/Class:

Do not just pick a car. Testing have proved that some cars will hit the rev limiter on longer straights...

I'm just saying, people....

The replay certainly doesn't do the 3D effect justice. In the Toyota MR2 I had to resist the urge to change the channel on the radio LOL. The detail even goes to the floor mats! I took the Aston Martin for a spin on Lake Miaggorie GP layout. I literally felt myself "falling forward" in my seat when I went down the steep hill at the back of the course.

The sound from the VR is amazing. If you put in those ear pieces you lose contact with the outside world. You are inside that car. I could feel myself leaning into those turns.

Maybe I'll take a look at Resident Evil.... it might be a bit more entertaining than Moss that came with the set!

Prize C selection:

The car that will be racing at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix is.....

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition (GR.3)

We’ll be using RH tires and lap times should be ~1:50.

Note- Be careful if you are buying the car from the brand central. There is a GR.4 version with the identical name right next to it for Cr. 350,000. So make sure it is the Cr. 450,000 GR.3 version.

@Shotgungho mentioned that part about Miaggorie. I tried the ear pieces, and I wasn't too impressed with the sound until i turned my head. I understand now what they were getting at with the 3D sound (though i prefer my 5.1 system tbh).

Oh you bastard, that car has a wonderful turbo and because if it is prone to oversteer. This is going to be a test of my throttle control, and as somebody who routinely drifts cars around corners it'll be entertaining to say the least.
