The BRZ GT300 Base Model starts at 345HP. I assume that's being excluded or we're gonna restrict it? I'd like to use it but I know that's a huge and likely unfair advantage

All of the GT300 Base Models are within 5PP of each other and are available for R3
Personally I think the BRZ lacks top end, the street version anyways. Here is a list of the GT300 Base Models available for R3:

Subaru BRZ GT300 Base Model '12
Lexus IS350 GT300 Base Model '08
Autobacs Garaiya GT300 Base Model '08
Subaru IMPREZA GT300 Base Model '08
RE Amemiya RX-7 GT300 Base Model '06​

Are you sure you have the car and track setup correctly? I never push my cars enough squeezing every last bit of speed out of her like I should. Nice time you definitely have D1 speed! I only did 1:08 1xlap my average was over 1:10 the DS3 has its limitations as do the car and I. Not making excuses I'm slow I know it LOL but visually reading & reacting to an imaginary FFB isn't all that easy. I'd venture to say the FFB on a wheel gives a driver at minimum a .75sec advantage on any turn feeling the instant the tires lose and regain traction. I hope I adjust to a wheel easily I've never tried one other than many years ago at the arcade. I think Cruisin USA, that's a long time ago LOL

Looks like I will be making it to the race today. When I got to work this morning the cancelled the work for the day.
 
My number is 83 if available and cars will be yellow with black wheels
 
I kinda feel this way too best lap is 1:06.617. Averaging in the mid 1:07's with a controller and I had the grip reduction set to real. Lets just hope when the pressure is on I don't crack and go flying off the track. Honestly R2 is my main worry that is a lot of car with very little tire.

I might keep my race cars matte black. Looks evil. I was looking at some cars. I'm gonna have to buy something and upgrade it. I got the Amusa S2000 but with an oil change it's 601PP. Noooooooooo
 
The RX7 has 10 more HP but the rotary engine has less torque. The Subaru has 4WD which is tempting but it may slow me down in turn in. The BRZ really shouldn't allowed because it has so much extra HP. There isn't a really long straight to get up in the gears but I still think it will behave much differently. I won't pick it just to be safe, but I'm curious if anyone else does. I think I'm gonna go with the Autobacs. It was always really easy to handle in GT5.

My only issue is I love/prefer to drive in cockpit view and there's that damn bar cutting the windshield in half. For online racing I have to use bumper cam so I can see the rearview mirror whenever needed.
 
Your color identifies you. It's your racing identity. The kids in the stands know it's you when you go by. Think of color scheme in that light maybe. :gtpflag:

I restarted my game save and haven't gotten to the point where I unlock the Jaguar XKR-S. That had the paint chip I use. For now I have the blue that comes with the Lancia Stratos. They look similar so I was gonna compare the two when I get the Jaguar French Racing Blue paint chip. For now it's Azzuro with black rims.

brz gt300 is average 3 pp higher then other base gt300 cars, but makes 50 more hp, brz probaly heavier reason for having more hp not sure, I'll be on soon to practice.

It's only 1,150kg. That's the same as the Lexus IS350 GT300. The only two 1,100kg GT300s are the Subaru Impreza and RE Amemiya RX-7. Autobacs is 1,175. I bought the Autobacs because it handles well and is RWD. I was gonna take the BRZ but I figured it would be unfair. Now I think I made the wrong choice lol. Time to reload another game save!
 
I'm watching football now. I will get online in GT6 at around 3:45pm EST. Won't race R2. Might not have time for second race of R3. That's what usually happens but oh well. For the real championship we're gonna start 30 minutes earlier so I can get to all races right?
 
I totally messed up my game save and can't race today. Okay, I bought the Autobacs but didn't like it so I went to delete my save and load the Backup Save from before I bought it. I already copied my Cloud save (PS+) yesterday and can only do that once every 24 hours. Didn't know that. So now my good save, the only one I didn't delete because it was the only one before buying the Autobacs, is stuck on the Cloud. I'll have it tomorrow at 5:45am. Heh...

WEEK 1 Pre-Race NOTES

This week kicks off our OFFICIAL SLCS (S.T.a.R. League Championship Series). Thank you all for your participation!
IMHO we have the CLEANEST MOST RESPECTFUL drivers on gtplanet. I humbly ask that you keep that in mind as you race this week. Maintain the integrity of the league so that others will want to come here, race hard, and have fun! Above all, maintain good racecraft and respect other drivers.
And remember, it is up to the following car to avoid contact and pass without incident. If your are inside on a turn and a car is passing outside, both cars hold your lines.

  • 15 minutes before the top of the race start time look for your appropriate room.
  • PLEASE BE ON TIME. Races start promptly at the top of the hour.
  • Host will not wait for drivers to exit and come back for oil change or car purchase.
  • Clear Cache BEFORE joining the room.
  • SAVE REPLAYS - If you need to file a PRR (Post Race Review), you must follow OLR #17 procedures. You will need the replay to refer to for vital information to file.

Drivers are locked in their respective Division for the entire 5-week "season". The "off week" is for promoting/relegating drivers. New drivers who come on board during a season will be placed based on TT and no "vets" will be moved to another Division.
